What a powerful and uplifting session we had on Saturday at Angels of Hope 💜

Our amazing speaker Grace Tsapayi reminded us about the importance of celebrating ourselves, knowing our worth, succeeding against the ODD's and making the right decisions for our lives and future. So many honest conversations, encouragement, and moments of reflection filled the room.

At Angels of Hope, we are proud to provide a safe and supportive space for over 30 women every month — a place where women can connect, grow, share experiences, and empower one another without judgement.

The strength in the room was incredible, and it was beautiful to see women supporting women and reminding each other that we no longer need to shrink ourselves to fit into spaces. ✨

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our brilliant speaker for such an inspiring session. Together we continue to grow, heal, and uplift one another. 💜

We are incredibly grateful to Manchester City Council and the OMVCS fund for investing in and supporting our workforce at Angels of Hope.

This funding is helping us strengthen the people at the heart of our work — ensuring our team and volunteers continue to grow in skills, confidence, and capacity to better support women and families in our communities.

When organisations invest in the workforce behind grassroots services, they invest in stronger communities, better outcomes, and lasting impact.

Thank you for recognising the value of community-led organisations and for supporting the work we do every day. 💙

Yesterday’s Lived Experience Leadership Session 3 for Angels of Hope was truly inspiring.

Our theme, “Becoming Architects of the World We Want,” encouraged us to reflect on the power of lived experience, community leadership, and the change we can create together. 💜

One message stood out strongly throughout the session: NO MORE SHRINKING. ✨
No more shrinking our voices, our dreams, our ideas, or our potential. Women deserve to take up space, lead with confidence, and recognise the value they bring to their communities and the world.

The women shared powerful stories, ideas, and visions for a future where communities are stronger, voices are heard, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We explored how our experiences can shape services, influence decisions, and build a more inclusive and compassionate world.

A special thank you to Shamime Jan for delivering such an empowering and thought-provoking session. Your words, encouragement, and leadership inspired us all and reminded us of the strength that already exists within our communities. 🌸

Thank you to every woman who attended, contributed, and supported one another. Together, we are becoming leaders, changemakers, and architects of a better future. ✨

Today we celebrate the end of our Angels of Hope Walking Project, proudly supported by Salford CVS 💛

What started as a simple idea — women coming together to walk — became so much more. Week after week, we showed up for ourselves and for each other. For many of the women, this was their first step into prioritising their health, building confidence, and finding a sense of belonging.

We’ve seen friendships grow, laughter shared, and barriers broken. Some came feeling isolated or unsure, but through this journey, they found strength, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose. The impact goes far beyond the steps we’ve taken in the park — it’s in the courage built, the stories shared, and the community we’ve created.

To every woman who joined us — thank you. Your commitment and energy made this project what it is.

And to Salford CVS, thank you for believing in this work and making it possible. Your support has helped change lives.
We are also grateful to Manchester Parks for sponsoring the refreshments. We appreciate your continued support.

Although the funded project has come to an end, our journey continues. We will keep walking, keep connecting, and keep building a healthier future together.

This is not the end — it’s just the beginning 🌿💛

What an incredible journey this has been! 💛

Over the past weeks, our Angels of Hope women have been training together in our local park in Gorton—supporting, encouraging, and uplifting one another every step of the way. Today, we took that strength even further by participating in a 5K run at MediaCity… and what an achievement it was!

For many of the women, this was their very first official run. What once felt like a distant dream became a powerful reality. Together, we have built confidence, resilience, and a true sense of community. This is what empowerment looks like.

We are so proud of every single woman who showed up, pushed through, and crossed that finish line. 👏

A huge thank you to Sport England for sponsoring our running project, and to Salford CVS for supporting our walking group. Because of this support, women are achieving things they once only imagined.

This is just the beginning. 💫

✨ Empowering Women Through Financial Knowledge ✨

Last Saturday at Angels of Hope, we had a truly impactful session focused on understanding finances for women who are starting their own businesses or charities.

We were honoured to be joined by a professional accountant who broke things down in such a clear and practical way—making finances feel less overwhelming and more accessible for everyone. 💼📊

From understanding responsibilities, to managing income, expenses, and compliance, the session created a safe space for learning, asking questions, and building confidence.

At Angels of Hope, we believe that knowledge is power—and equipping women with the right tools is key to helping them thrive, lead, and succeed in their ventures.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such an engaging and supportive session. 💛

What a beautiful and energising Afrofit session we had today at Gorton Hub! 🌸✨

As part of our Spring Festival celebration for the Greater Manchester Live Well City Region Festival, it was amazing to come together, move our bodies, and celebrate what it truly means to Live Well.

The energy, the joy, the laughter—this is what community is all about. 💛

Together, we are stronger. Together, we are Greater Manchester. 💫

Come join us in Gorton

Come join us in Gorton

Woman Arise CIC is hosting an AFROFIT Dance party at the Gorton Hub on the 19th of March from 6pm to 7pm.

This is part of the Greater Manchester’s first region-wide “Live Well” celebration — a two-week festival running Monday 9 March to Monday 23 March 2026 across all 10 boroughs. Instead of one big venue, it’s hundreds of community-led pop-ups (200+ events) in neighbourhoods, parks, libraries, high streets, community centres and online

The festival showcases the wider Live Well movement (GMCA, NHS Greater Manchester, councils and local groups), which aims to make everyday support available in every neighbourhood and shift public services to work more closely with communities.

So come and join the party 🥳. The more the merrier. Lets Make this a Gorton Dance Live Well Party🥳😎
