Freak Q***r Hike 🌿
Save the date: Saturday 21 August
The weekend before Manchester Pride, we’re heading out to the beautiful Goyt Valley for a day of fresh air, good company, and a walk through nature.
Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, it’s a chance to meet new people, spend time outdoors, and connect with community before Pride weekend begins.
The hike is completely free to join. If you’d like, there will also be an opportunity to make a donation, with all funds raised being split between LGBT Foundation, akt, and Mermaids — three incredible organisations supporting LGBTQ+ people across the UK.
The Route
We’ll be exploring the area around Errwood Reservoir and following the Goyt Valley Hill Circular.
This is a moderate hike, expected to take around 2–3 hours, with plenty to enjoy along the way, including wildflowers, local wildlife, woodland trails, and stunning Peak District views. We’ll also stop for lunch at the ruins of Errwood Hall.
Tickets & Donations
To help us manage numbers and get an idea of who’s joining us, please grab a free ticket or make a donation via the link in our bio. Every donation, no matter how small, helps support the amazing work being done by LGBT Foundation, akt and Mermaids.
More information, including the meeting point and timings, will be shared soon.
