On Friday we ran our ‘Introduction to Skincare’ workshop at Saviour Spa at David Lloyd Manchester North 💆

It was a chance for teenage girls to learn more about skincare, ask questions, receive a mini-facial and get some hands on beauty experience ✨

It’s always beautiful to see the girls confidence grow throughout the session! 💕

Workshop 2 of EmpowHER and what a vibe! 🧘‍♀️✨

Huge thanks to The Yoga Lady Mcr for an amazing yoga session in Middleton last week, the girls absolutely loved it and got fully stuck in.

We wrapped things up with some delicious healthy snacks (which disappeared very quickly 😋).

The girls were absolutely fantastic. Engaged, thoughtful, and full of ambition. It was wonderful to watch them pour their dreams into their vision boards.

Huge shoutout to parents/carers for raising such strong, respectful, and kind young women. 💖

Looking for a free, fun, and empowering summer activity for your daughter? 💖

EmpowHER is a weekly summer program in Middleton designed to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of girls aged 11–13 through creative and confidence-boosting activities including:

🧘‍♀️ Yoga & Dance
🎯 Vision Board Workshops
💬 Confidence Building Sessions
🎨 Creative Arts & Crafts
🍽️ Food & Drink Provided
✨ Run in collaboration with Your Trust Rochdale, Rochdale Borough Council, and is completely free to attend!

Building Bridges was founded 2 years ago is a Community Interest Company which aims to improve the confidence of young people in and around Manchester 🐝

We have worked with Middleton Technology School, Manchester Communication Academy Trust, and other local organisations 🏫

Some of our previous workshops include skincare information sessions for teenage girls (educating about age-appropriate skincare, for example), primary-secondary transition workshops for Year 6 girls, and interventions for Year 7 boys and girls with additional needs 📚

We have some exciting upcoming projects on the horizon and can't wait to share more soon 😎
