🎉 EllenFest 2026 - Everything You Need to Know 🎉
We're looking forward to welcoming you to the very first EllenFest tomorrow and we can't wait to see the school community come together for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon of fun, music and entertainment.
📅 Saturday 13th June 2026
🕐 1:00pm – 6:00pm
Before You Arrive
If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to visit the EllenFest Event Hub: https://ellenfest2026.netlify.app/
Designed to be viewed on your phones, the Event Hub really is your guide to the day. It contains the event map, activity information, live music timings, food and drink information, stall details, payment information, FAQs and much more.
We strongly recommend having a look before you arrive.
🎟️ Tickets & Entry - Gates open at 1:00pm.
Once you get in the gate there will be two queues, one for pre-purchased tickets and a separate queue if you're buying tickets on the day.
If you decide at the last minute that you'd like to join us, tickets will also be available to purchase on the gate and we will be accepting both cash and card payments.
If you need to leave the event for any reason and come back we will stamp your hand before you leave.
☀️ Weather & What to Wear
The forecast for Saturday is currently looking promising and we're hoping for a lovely afternoon of sunshine. However, we have had some rain over the last few days and, as EllenFest takes place on the school field, some areas may still be soft or muddy underfoot. Please dress appropriately for the conditions and consider suitable footwear, particularly if you're planning to spend lots of time enjoying the activities and attractions.
Activities & Attractions
There will be something for everyone throughout the afternoon, including:
🎵 Live music on the Main Stage
🎡 Fairground ride
🏰 Inflatables - - Wristband required,
🧗 Climbing Wall
🎯 Nerf Battles
🎨 Face Painting
✨ Glitter & Festival Sparkle
🎈 Giant Bubbles & Balloon Modelling from 3pm
🎲 Games and Stalls
🍔 Food Vendors
🍻 Bar and Refreshments including the The Ellenbrockstar Spritz our very own exclusive EllenFest cocktail (or mocktail), created especially for EllenFest 2026!
🏰 Inflatables & Climbing Wall - Wristbands & Tokens
Due to a shortage of volunteers, we have had to make some changes to how the inflatables and climbing wall will operate. Rather than taking individual payments at each attraction, unlimited inflatable wristbands and climbing wall tokens will be available to purchase on the day.
These will be available in two locations: at the entrance and at Location 1B on the site map (near the Teachers' Games area before you reach the inflatables).
This change allows us to operate the attractions safely with the volunteers we have available and helps reduce queuing at the activities themselves.
💳 Cash, Cards & Cashback - Some stalls and vendors are cash only, some are card only and others accept both. The Event Hub shows which payment methods each vendor accepts, along with locations offering cashback should you need access to cash during the event.
📚 Look-for-a-Book Challenge
Thanks to the generous support of the National Literacy Trust, we will be running a special Look-for-a-Book Challenge throughout the event. Thirty books will be hidden around the festival site for children to discover.
📖 If you find a book, it's yours to keep! Please remember that once you've found a book, we ask that you leave the remaining books for other children to discover and enjoy.
🎯 Nerf Battles
There are still spaces available in selected Nerf Battle sessions.
Sessions can be booked via the Event Hub or directly through PTA Events: https://www.pta-events.co.uk/ellenbrookprimarypta
Pre-booking is recommended as some sessions are already filling up but we have left space for walk-ins on the day.
Important Reminders
Seating - EllenFest takes place on the school field and there will be no seating provided. You are very welcome to bring picnic blankets and folding chairs so you can relax, enjoy the music and make the most of the festival atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
Children Must Be Supervised - Children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer at all times. Please ensure younger children are supervised throughout the event, particularly around busy activity areas and queues.
Noise Levels - EllenFest is a live music festival and there will be amplified music and entertainment throughout the day. Whilst we will ensure sound levels remain appropriate for a family event, it may still be loud at times, particularly close to the stage and fairground rides. If you or your child are sensitive to noise, we recommend bringing ear defenders or other suitable hearing protection so everyone can enjoy the day comfortably.
Parking & Respecting Our Neighbours - The school car park will be closed to vehicles and parking around the school is limited. If you are able to walk to the event, please do so. If you are driving, please be respectful and mindful of our neighbours when parking, taking care not to double park, park in restricted areas or block access to anyone's property.
No Dogs - except assistance dogs
Food & Drink - We have a range of food and drink available at EllenFest, as well as our PTA-run refreshment stalls and bar run by Prohibition Bootleggers. To help support the event and maximise fundraising for the school, we kindly ask that food and drink is not brought onto the site unless required for medical or baby-feeding purposes. Please also note that alcohol must not be brought into the event. Alcohol can only be purchased and consumed from our licensed bar in accordance with the event licence conditions.
Thank You!
EllenFest has been organised entirely by volunteers, school staff, sponsors and supporters from our wonderful school community. Thank you to everyone who has bought tickets, volunteered, sponsored the event, donated prizes, performing, providing activities or helped behind the scenes. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without you.
Most importantly, thank you for supporting the PTA. Every penny raised helps us continue funding projects, experiences and resources that benefit all of the children at Ellenbrook.
Now let's hope for sunshine and make some amazing memories together.
🎉 See you this afternoon! 🎉
