Lunch + gig! with special guests Jubacana
Monday 31st August
12pm–1pm, followed by lunch.
The session closes at 2pm.

To celebrate our final day of summer holiday activities, we will be joined by special guests Jubacana, one of our partner youth projects based in Oldham. Chat to them after the gig about how to get involved in their group for 8–18s.

Lunch + Gig is a special live music event for school age children and young people aged 5–15. Each booked child place includes a free lunch.

The lunches are intended to support families who would benefit from free food provision during the school holidays. Everyone is welcome to enjoy music and lunch together.

One adult should attend with each booked child under the age of 11. Children aged 12–15 may attend solo, but are also able to bring along one adult.

Please note that noise levels will be high for this activity. Earplugs can be provided.

Jubacana Summer School 2026 ☀️

Enormous thanks to Shelby Johnstone who visited us from Glasgow where she co-leads and the SYB youth band. We met Shelby through the Future Leaders programme in 2018 and it was a delight to make music with her again.

We worked up to a toe-tapping new groove through body percussion, improvisation, and rhythm games. It was also such a great chance to experience a workshop with another inspiring tutor for some of our youngest or newer members.

Look out for our dance and melody masterclasses coming later this year…

Manchester Day! We're so excited to be back for the Manchester Day Parade, this Sunday 26th July! The parade kicks off from St. Peter's Square at 1pm and will be meandering its way through the city centre. Here are some fab shots from last year!

Three Degrees Festival at in Morecambe today in the sunshine.

A super fun gig day packed with a new piece making a debut, one of our youngest players enjoying their first electric guitar gig, and a collaboration with our friends in Baybeat. Well done everyone!

We had a fabulous time at on Sunday for Manchester Marathon 🏃🏃‍♂️ The sun was shining and the drums were blasting!
