🌟 Democracy, creativity and collective power.

On Saturday 20th June 1-3pm, we’re bringing people from across Greater Manchester together at the People’s History Museum!

We will share food, joy, collective spirit and design a more people-powered democracy — we’d love you to be part of it!

Enjoy performances, activities, help shape a People’s Charter for our region, and consider how a Citizen’s Assembly for Greater Manchester might benefit us all.

We’re delighted to be joined by some incredible local changemakers:

✨ Leah Chikamba-Mulando Leah Osborne Chikamba will help open the event with a welcoming speech, bringing her passion for community leadership and women’s empowerment.

🎶 The wonderful team and community choir from Enjoy Arts Erica Adkins will share performances and lead a creative placard-making activity. Through storytelling, arts and participation, they create spaces where everyone can be seen, heard and celebrated.

🎤 Local artist Pavia Ward Pavia Ward will energise the room with a powerful performance that reminds us of the strength and creativity that exists in our communities.

This is a space to come together, meet new people, share ideas and celebrate the power we have when we act collectively to secure a better future.

Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, neighbours, family and curiosity.

May is Women’s Health Month, but how often are women’s experiences really heard?

We’ve been using creativity with different women’s groups as a way for women to feel heard.

Now join us for a short film, conversation and creative workshop bringing together the voices and lived experiences of women across Greater Manchester.

To get the healthcare we deserve…. What do we need?

We’ve worked with lots of different women to create our short film ‘Why aren’t we talking about Women’s Health?’

The groups opened up about periods, discharge, fertility, menopause and a range of health issues they experience. We want to stop these conversations being taboo and think creativity is a great way to do this.

We also talked about what we want for the future and what all women deserve!

We’ll be joining a brilliant bunch of contributors as we’ll be sharing our stories and lived experiences to support, energise and inspire others - we’ll be inviting people to explore the question ‘We are we not talking about women’s health?’ and share their thoughts, feelings and experiences

What a great morning at Urmston Library with sharing our experiences of projects with Trafford organisations and artists.

Was great to reflect back on our creative heritage project, Mothers in Crisis, and how it’s led to our current work we’re exploring around Women’s Health…
