Last weekend, Grand Master Garrett S. Chan and Grand Lodge officers joined Orinda No. 122 for a special Cornerstone Rededication Ceremony, commemorating the lodge’s 75th anniversary. It was a remarkable day filled with history, fellowship, and civic pride! Many congratulations to the members of Orinda Lodge on this significant milestone and for their dedication to the Craft.

A star is born! Last Saturday in El Segundo, a bright, new light joined our Masonic family with the constitution of Citlali Lodge No. 895. The ceremony, presided over by Grand Master Garrett S. Chan, marked a proud milestone for Spanish-speaking Masons across our jurisdiction. Felicidades to the brethren of Citlali Lodge for their dedication to brotherly love, relief, and truth!

When Leadership Inspires Charity: A Night That Defined Freemasonry

What happens when the Grand Master personally conducts a Raising and later receives a $10,000 donation for charity from that same Lodge? You witness Freemasonry at its finest—leadership that teaches by example and fellowship that acts with purpose.

On that remarkable evening at Lodge Blacktown Kildare No. 393, Most Worshipful Brother Bernie Khristianne Albano presided with dignity, sincerity, and humility—embodying his own theme of Humility, Integrity, and Harmony. His presence transformed a personal milestone for Brother Paul Aviquivil into a living demonstration of how Freemasonry refines character and inspires service.

The Lodge’s $10,000 gift to the Grand Charity Fund reflected the United Grand Lodge of NSW & ACT's enduring motto—Juncta Juvant, “Together We Assist.” It was a shining example of what unity can achieve when guided by moral purpose. In that harmony of ritual and generosity, Freemasonry revealed its truest strength: not in titles or ceremony alone, but in the collective will to do good. Leadership, humility, and brotherly love—working hand in hand—remain the foundation upon which Freemasonry continues to build better men and stronger communities.
