We are receiving more calls than normal and we apologise for any unanswered calls and messages. This year has been a busy one as we push to have all works completed which we are carrying out on our own as we have a very limited budget which is earmarked solely for this and cannot be used on the rescue side. As its half term and many of our volunteers work and have family commitments we are operating solely with a handful of volunteers πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ we understand how frustrating it must be ringing everywhere to find help and if we could help we would but at this present moment we just cannot physically and financially take in any more admissions. We will update everyone as soon as this changes.

During the last heatwave we had one of the local juvenile peregrines come in after struggling and being found grounded. Thankfully a quick stint in with us and she was showing vast improvement so we were able to gain access to the nesting site and get her reunited with parents and other sibling.

Still have a fair few casualties coming in and releases such as this juvenile kestrel and many jackdaws and crows.

Site work is also coming along well albeit with many hydration breaks πŸ˜‰

We are making good progress πŸ’ͺ still on track for works being completed in September. Pathways and raised beds all coming along and we welcomed our first bee hive and glad to report they are thriving. Once all building work has finished we will be holding a volunteer recruitment day and also should be back to normal in regards taking in new admissions but thank you for being patient with us we are sure it will all be worth it :)

Unfortunately due to ongoing building work and the amount of animals currently in our care along with other factors we are having to close to new admissions. This isnt permanent and we will still try our best to answer any questions or queries but there may be a delay and we may not be able to take in but can advise on what to do / where to try.
