Facts on the trafficking of women and girls:

🚨Trafficking for sexual exploitation is often part of the systematic sexual violence perpetrated against civilians during and after conflicts.
🚨 In conflict zones, armed groups recruit or abduct women and girls for forced marriage, domestic work, and sexual slavery.
🚨 Girls and women are three times more likely to suffer explicit or extreme violence during trafficking, compared to boys and men.
