Manchester Torture Survivors Support Group We have a network of national centres helping survivors of torture in the UK including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow.

Freedom from Torture (the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture) is the only national charity in the UK solely dedicated to treating men, women and children who have survived the atrocities of torture and organised violence. Thanks to the generous support of funders, a new presence has started in Yorkshire and Humberside.

Hi to anyone who has ever expressed interest in Freedom from Torture and refugees in general. The Manchester Freedom from Torture support group is holding a fundraiser at Manchester Central Library on Tuesday the 8th of April at 6 pm. Susie Miles, who lived in Southern Africa during the time of apartheid, is performing her one woman show, for which she had a very enthusiastic response at the Edinburgh Fringe. We can't charge admission at the library, so we hope that whoever comes will donate generously to the best of their ability.
