The Cubs have had a great day out with the Cubs from Salford District. We’ve taken the train to Lyme Park and had a hike round.

On the way we’ve had some fun on the adventure play park, had a try at some orienteering and seen some wonderful wildlife.

The camera woman wasn’t fast enough to catch a snap of the vole we saw!

Well done to all the Cubs - 16km covered today!

It’s Volunteers Week, and what better way to recognise the amazing work our volunteers at 100th do, than by attending the Heart of Salford Awards.
I’m beyond proud of the leaders, helpers and trustees, and excited that they were shortlisted for Volunteering Team of the Year.

Cat, Michael and myself attended to collect a certificate of our shortlisting, and whilst we didn’t win the category, a great video showcasing the amazing things our volunteers do was shown at the event https://youtu.be/KxeTCDz4N7g

Please join me in thanking and celebrating our amazing volunteers!

A small but mighty group at Cubs tonight owing to half term, so we challenged them to build a castle/defensive fort that contains a moat or lava. Great to see the imaginations coming through with chimneys, trees and even kitchen appliances!

We celebrated a few things on camp this weekend:
- a birthday
- Emma getting her (engraved) Award for Merit medal
- being the last group to wash up for 200 people (meaning we only had cutlery, cups and a few bowls💪 not a ketchup-covered plate in sight!)

A few photos of the Scouts from this weekend.

A selection of photos from Cubs (and a handful of scouts*) from today on camp.

Climbing, axe throwing, splatapult, cave bus, slackline and gladiator duel!

Weather has been a bit on and off, but the Cubs and Scouts have had a great day, topped off with a campfire and now a movie/wide games.

* (more to come once all the leaders have sent me their pictures!)
