100th Salford Scout Group Friendly and active club for boys and girls aged 4-18 to build social and life long skills, come down and join in the fun! :)

Today’s adventures on Chamboree included the Discover and Strike activity bases.

To start, the Scouts had fun at the circus show 🎪 🤹‍♂️ and then other to creative areas. The Scouts were able to discover new skills including black smithing, leather working, pottery and up-cycling clothes 🔨

This afternoon was high adrenaline challenges such as shooting, axe throwing, archery and hovercrafts 🏹 🎯

Last night we fuelled up on chilli and nachos 😋 before heading to the main stage for the Gameshow Night.

The evening finished with a set from a very young DJ Max who had the crowd jumping!

Safe to say the Scouts (and leaders) all slept well 😴

The Scouts have had a busy 2 days so far!

Yesterday they engaged in S.T.E.M activities on Explore activity base including a flight simulator, changing a car tyre, wiring a circuit and building magnetic bridges 🌉

They then had fun on the inflatables in the Leap 🦘 activity base.

Today the Scouts came, saw and conquered all the adventurous activities on Conquer activity base. They had a go at zorbing, segways, quads, high ropes and slack lining.

Introducing the winners of our badge design competitions for the group’s 50th Anniversary and Salford’s 100 Centenary!

Congratulations to Dexter on his design beautifully capturing the group’s current logo, with a modern twist for 50 years; along with Alfie for his design covering Salford’s skyline and the ‘Salix’ willow tree connection to Salford.
Congratulations to both Cubs, who proudly received the first blanket badges and certificate from His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester Mrs Diane Hawkins JP LLB, and County Lead Volunteer for Greater Manchester West Greg Archer MBE.

The badges will be made available to every Young Person and adult in the group, free of charge, in September.
