Community Drop-In Changes 📢

A big thank you to everyone who has supported and attended our community drop-in sessions over the years.

We have made the decision to end a number of drop-in sessions going forward. While these sessions have provided valuable support to many customers, attendance has been consistently low in several areas, and we are exploring more effective ways to engage with our communities, building on the success of community events like our Nibbles & Natter sessions.

Drop-ins have ended in:
📍 Bramhall
📍 Bredbury
📍 Carrbrook
📍 Rochdale/Deeplish
📍 Bolton/Kearsley

Please note that Drop-ins at Space Manchester, Moss Side will continue as normal.

If you need support, please contact your Neighbourhood Officer, get in touch via your My MSV account or email [email protected]

Thank you for your understanding as we explore new ways to engage with our communities.

Look out for info coming soon on Nibbles n' Natter sessions in your area! 💚

⭐ Nominations are now open for the MSV Shining Stars Awards 2027! ⭐

Across our neighbourhoods, incredible people give their time, support others and help make their communities better places to live — and we want to celebrate them.

Perhaps you know a neighbour who always lends a helping hand, a young person doing something inspiring or a volunteer who goes above and beyond. Your Shining Star could also be an involved customer, a community group or a local project bringing people together and creating positive change.

Making a nomination is simple. Tell us who your Shining Star is, what they have done and why you believe they deserve to be recognised.

🏆 All eligible nominations will be reviewed by our judging panel, and finalists will be invited to the MSV Shining Stars Awards ceremony at The Lowry Theatre on Wednesday 20th January 2027.🏆

👉 Nominate your MSV Shining Star today: https://www.msvhousing.co.uk/your-community/msv-shining-stars-awards-2027/

Not online? Paper nomination forms are available from selected MSV hubs, community spaces and schemes.

🌈 What a brilliant day at Manchester Pride 2026!

Despite the rain, our colleagues brought energy, colour and plenty of Pride as they joined Rainbow Roofs in the celebrations and showed support for the LGBTQ+ community.

We’re proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ customers, colleagues, and communities. Pride is a time to celebrate love, identity, equality and the ongoing fight for inclusion and acceptance.

As our campaign comes to an end, we're sharing one final fact to help separate myth from reality.

Today's myth:
"Asylum seekers are given handouts."

The fact:
People seeking asylum receive limited financial support while their claims are processed. This support is intended to help cover basic everyday essentials and is not comparable to a wage or salary.

Thank you for following our campaign and taking the time to engage with the facts. We hope these posts have provided useful information and helped build understanding around topics that are often misunderstood.

We welcome respectful questions and conversations. If you'd like to learn more, visit:
