Hi, everyone.
Sorry its been a bit quiet here lately, lots going on behind the scenes personally.
We are all ok but no new dogs booked to come in at the moment .
I had reserved a young dog to come over in August from Romania but he very sadly passed away , from a severe reaction to his rabies jab of all things 😢
The sanctuary dogs are doing well , Freya was full and center this morning when they were having a little treat as you can see from the short video 😅
She just goes from strength to strength , special girl .
Grecia the young galga with the broken hip is now a full on cheeky deva , so full of energy and love , such a joy to see .
I'll try and get some individual videos and pics over the next few days of all the sanctuary dogs , and their friends .
Hope everyone is doing ok .
Would love to see some happy dog pics in the comments ,its always good for moral .xx

Give them shade and plenty of water at home .

Gorgeous Nella is happy to announce she has found her forever home .
So pleased for Nella who had the most awful start to life locked away in a shed with two other galgos . Luckily they were rescued by the amazing Galgos del Sol and given a new chance .
Nella was very nervous and they thought kennel life was not the right place for her to move forward so she came here for some rehabilitation.
Shes been given time to gain trust and has certainly come out of her shell now and become a typical cheeky young galgo .
She is in my opinion going to the perfect home for her needs with a very experienced sighthound lady who has actually taken 5 of our more challenging dogs . A beautiful home in the middle of Devon , lots of friends and space for Nella to thrive .
She leaves us on Friday and we wish her well in her lovely new home .

Happy New Year everyone, let's hope its a kinder one for the rescue world and many more dogs can be saved .❤️

Christmas has come early for the hounds and myself .
Lovely treats and chocolates from Charlotte and gorgeous greyhound Elsa and a donation from Anita and the special galga Rio to buy treats from the dogs for Christmas.
Thank you both so much for thinking of us . We are very happy 😊 ❤️❤️
