Chorlton Repair Cafe is a monthly free event run by volunteers who love to fix your broken items! Chorlton Repair Cafe is a monthly meetup for people who want to repair broken things

The purpose of a Repair Café event is that people work together to fix broken things. Margrets Community Centre in Chorlton on the seco

nd Saturday of the month from 10am-12, is volunteer-run, free and open to anybody. Just drop in with or without broken items to learn repair skills from our expert volunteers, have a cup of tea, and maybe even help out yourself. Any broken items that you are able to transport to the repair café are welcome. This could be toasters, lamps, toys, clothes, hair dryers, bikes, crockery etc. If you have any tools that could be used to fix your item, or someone else’s, it would be great if you could bring these along too. If you are interested in helping out with this fantastic project please drop us an email to [email protected] - we are looking for;

>> General volunteers to help out at the Repair Cafés once a month

>>Volunteer repairers with skills in fixing furniture, electronics, bikes and technology

>>Donations (or lenders) of tools which would come in handy for mending the above items

This beautiful vinyl record player was a gift from Sarah’s neighbor, but it lost its voice. Sarah brought it to us, and after some careful fixing, it’s spinning perfectly and sounding better than ever! 🔊

All repairs are free of charge, we do however appreciate donations to help us continue saving items from landfill ♻️

Now, Ele is back on the move and can carry her kids everywhere just like before! 🤩

Some-beloved household items stopped working or your pair of jeans is waiting to repair inside the wardrobe? That’s why we are here!

𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐟𝐞 runs once-a-month, 100% volunteer-run and funded by donations, built on a very simple idea: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝗶𝘁 🌍

Here is how a Repair Cafe actually works ♻️
🌳 Sustainability - Every item we rescue, one less thing in the local landfill.
🌳 Fix Together - We skill-share. Our volunteers diagnose the issue and show you how to repair it. You may learn a new skill while we solve the problem
🌳 Community Connection - It’s about bringing the Chorlton neighborhood together, sharing stories, and meeting new people.

It is free to attend, powered by volunteers and donations to keep the lights on and the tools sharp. We will try our best to give every bring in item a second chance.

Gather around everyone.. it's here! The Chorlton Repair Café 2025 WRAPPED!
