Chorlton Good Neighbours Supporting & working with CGN in caring for older people in south Manchester. Our70+ volunteers offer practical support and friendship to people who need it.

Chorlton Good Neighbours has been supporting older people in the Chorlton area since 1967. CGN delivers a friendly, fair and safe service which currenly supports over 250 older people. It providing social contact and support to older people in their homes and at activities and events held at Wilbraham St Ninian's Church Hall and elsewhere

Helen leaves Chorlton Good Neighbours after 42 years as Co-ordinator

At a packed Thursday coffee morning (21st May 2026) Helen Hibberdsaid goodbye to many of the members and volunteers she has helped over the years. She left behind CGN in a thriving state - popular, innovative and providing a valuable service to older people in Chorlton and Whalley Range Jolivia's poem to Helen I am sure that whatever Helen moves on to doing , she will continue to contribute greatly to the local Chorlton community of which she is so fond and for which she is so much loved by all those she has helped and worked with Bernard Leach
