Thank You, 2025 Trustee Board Team!🙏❤️

Today marks the last official working day for the Trustee team 2025, as the annual General Body will elect the new board today. 🎊🎉
What an eventful year it was, with packed programmes/sessions/activities week by week and month by month, setting benchmarks for the future. 🏅🪙 The trustee members came together as one team and one heart, from varied industries and professional backgrounds (IT, engineering, healthcare, higher education, procurement, Banking, F&B, Accounting), with a single mission to serve the community.

Their expertise and skills were fully utilised to deliver gold-standard events and secure numerous firsts in the history of MMA 🏆⭐, which included securing the largest grant ever for MMA, UUKMA Kalamela National level 3rd away from home, conceptualising new events such as Sangeetha Sandhya and various sports and arts tournaments, progressing well with gift aid paper works, in addition to successfully conducting all the annual charted events and efficiently running the supplementary school along with various ad-hoc community engagement activities. What an incredible year!

Annual General Body Meeting

Snehadooth 2025, the final event of our calendar year (and for the 2025 trustee board activities), marked the combined Christmas and New Year celebrations and was truly memorable, bringing the entire community together for an evening of social bonding, fun, and community engagement. The success of the event (attended by 550+ community members) is a genuine reflection of our unity, hard work, and dedication—coming together as one MMA family. The evening featured three Santas who travelled all the way from the North Pole to spread joy in Manchester, while the children danced, laughed, and celebrated with them in a themed setting and a colourfully decorated hall.

Some of the highlights of the evening were Carol songs (performed by a team of 20+ members), our MMA school student performance (keyboard and 8 cinematic dances), Rev Father’s Christmas message, the office bearers' address and felicitation, updates on the MMA website refresh, a video felicitation of our UUKMA winners, and a recap of the year-long programme conducted by the trustees. The evening was further brightened by a sumptuous dinner, a memorable music and comedy show featuring South Indian celebrities (Binu Adimali and team), followed by an energetic chenda melam performed by Manchester Melam (a team of MMA members).

Our sincere thanks to the Trustee Board, School Parent Governors, our beloved teachers, member volunteers, caterers, external performers, and the true stars of the event—our MMA School students—and their supportive parents. Finally, our heartfelt thanks go to the true strength of MMA—our members. Your presence, encouragement, and unity made our final event of 2025 special.

November 1, 2025 – A Day of Glory and Pride!

A golden feather in the history of MMA - UUKMA National Level Arts Festival Second Runner-up Championship Trophy! 🏆✨ and 1st time winning this away from home.

This is more than just a win; it is the culmination of countless hours of hard work, relentless dedication, and the powerful, unified team spirit that makes our association so special.

Thanks to our assigned Trustee members, who put the vision and strategy together from the initial days (assessing the competition category gaps, analysing the strengths and weaknesses, and laying out the overall win strategy, putting the best team forward in group and single items) to achieve this historic milestone. 🏆🏆

Thanks to our brilliant participants who showcased their immense talent, our dedicated teachers who nurtured every skill, parents and every single member who came to cheer, encourage, and fill the venue with that electric, positive energy.

Together, we proved that nothing is impossible! This magnificent success belongs entirely to our community—one family, one team, one spirit!

Chess Tournament 2025 | 13 December 2025 ♟️♟️♟️

What a wonderful day of sportsmanship, strategy, and fun! The Chess Tournament 2025 genuinely showcased remarkable skill, focus, and enthusiasm from all participants — both young and adult players — making it a memorable event for everyone involved.

Over 20 participants, 5 rounds each, with a win/tie determined by the Buchholz system, and judged by an experienced and qualified English Chess Federation-rated expert/adviser. 🏅

A big, heartfelt thank you to everyone involved — participants, our judge, organising team, sponsors, winners, and members! Your passion and effort truly made the day special, filled with learning, friendly competition, and a sense of community. 🎶 MMA Sangeetha Sandhya 2025 🎶| 08 November 2025

Sangeetha Sandhya (Musical Night) 2025 turned out to be a truly memorable celebration of music, dance, and togetherness — and it wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of so many amazing people. This was the first time in MMA history that a standalone music-focused event was held, and it has set the benchmark to be charted in our annual events calendar moving forward. 🥁🎷🎺🪗🎵🎼🎤

The event featured 25+ talented singers (both children and adults), with soulful performances in front of 300+ audience (amphitheatre venue at Cedar Mount Academy), complemented by live guitar/violin/keyboard, and Darbuka instrumental support. Between the singing, there were displays of 7 couples' dances and 2 group dance performances. The day kicked off with a celebration (cake cutting) of our national-level win at the UUKMA Arts Festival the previous week (a historic moment for MMA) and ended with a vibrant DJ. 🥁🎤🎸🎻🎙️🎚️

Together, we created yet another unforgettable chapter in the MMA journey! 🌟

October 18th, 2025, marked another successful initiative to support the community's physical activities. The MMA Football Tournament 2025 was truly a day of fun, sportsmanship, and togetherness — a day to remember!

Four teams, each in the kids, youth, and adult categories (a total of 12 teams, 7 players per side), competed for the annual MMA football trophy.

Amazing teamwork, flawless precision passes, clinical forward attacks, and tiki-taka in the midfield, combined with well-disciplined and formidable defensive formations, made the tournament a spectacular sight!🎉🎉

Some glimpses of the MMA Onam 2025 celebration (12:00–20:00, 20th September 2025): a colourful traditional event setting with floral arrangements (pookalam), fostering community bonding; a packed audience (750+); 24 pre-lunch solo & duet programmes covering various arts, dance, and music; social engagement through a sumptuous traditional feast (Onam Sadhya); post-lunch kick-off with traditional instrument group play (Chenda melam) combined with an elephant procession (with thalapoli) to welcome Mahabali; followed by a stunning semi-classical inaugural dance fused with layers of contemporary dance; Office bearers' speeches, which were trailed by over 16 group cultural programmes (spanning traditional and folk dances, drama, instrumental fusion, mime, cinematic dances, folk arts and music) in an energetic sound and light setup showcasing MMA's rich talent and skills. The event was attended by members of the Indian Consulate, as well as our valued sponsors.

Onam is an annual cultural festival of the Malayalee community (from Kerala state, South India)
