As we shared in our last post, Manchester WI will be suspending its activities from April 2026.
This decision comes with a huge amount of sadness, but also with clarity about who we are and what we stand for. Following discussion and consultation, our members have officially voted not to continue as part of the WI in the new membership year. Manchester WI is now closed, effective immediately.
Manchester WI has always been built on inclusion, community, and support for one another - values that our members have shown time and time again.
Since 2012, this group has been a space for friendship, creativity, learning, and solidarity. We’ve laughed together, supported each other, and built something truly special that goes far beyond a name.
To everyone who has been part of Manchester WI over the years: thank you. For your time, your energy, your care, and your commitment to making this a welcoming and inclusive community. You are what made Manchester WI what it is. 💜
While this chapter is coming to a close, the spirit of what we’ve created together won’t disappear. The connections, the friendships, and the shared values will carry on in whatever comes next.
