Beaver Scouts at 465th Manchester in Ardwick are looking to reopen the colony Thursday 30th April.
6pm to 7pm at least initially running for hour sessions.

If anyone would like to consider joining the Beaver Scout Leadership team at 465th and helping to shape our members futures. We would be very happy to hear from you.

We have great facilities in the Centre and so many nearby attractions in walking distance. We have a garden we look after as a Scout Group and good relations will our locals schools.

There is a BUSHSCOUT.UK course running in April at Linnet Clough Scout Camp & Activity Centre for the North West.

If you want to build your confidence in delivering basic scouting skills or just to brush up on them, get yourselves booked on.

The course covers the following:-
- knife skills
- axe & saw
- fire lighting
- tarpology
- campfire cooking.

If you’re an adult volunteer in Scouting and want to feel more confident delivering practical outdoor skills, our Bushscout.UK courses for 2026 are now live.

Our training focuses on simple, safe and successful techniques that young people of all ages genuinely enjoy, taught in a supportive, low-ego environment with experienced volunteers and plenty of hands-on practice.

Current courses include:
✅ Practical Skills Days for adult leaders
✅ Specialist training in Tomahawk Throwing for Young People

A few helpful things to know:
• Courses are open to current adult members of The Scout Association
• Group bookings are welcome, but all places must be booked for named individuals
• Some courses are marked TBC or open later while venues are finalised
• Sold-out courses stay visible, with waiting lists available

More courses are already in planning and will be added over time.
