Convention Cancellation Notice

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

UK Islamic Mission (UKIM) regrets to announce that the Muhammad (May Allah’s continuous peace and blessing be upon him): Mercy for Humanity Convention, scheduled for 30th August 2026, will no longer be taking place.

This decision follows unforeseen circumstances beyond our control and has been made after careful consideration. Whilst we recognise the disappointment this may cause, we believe it is the most appropriate course of action at this time.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all those who have shown interest in the event and, in particular, to the many volunteers, members, partners, and supporters whose efforts and commitment have been invaluable throughout the planning process.

We remain committed to serving our communities through programmes and initiatives that inspire, educate, and bring people together. Further updates, including future arrangements for the event, will be shared in due course, InshaAllah.

Ticket holders will be contacted separately regarding refund arrangements. In the mean time we ask Muslim brothers and sisters to serve their local communities through following the practice of the Prophet as a mercy to mankind. We thank you for your understanding, continued support, and du'as.

الْمُؤْمِنُ لا يُلْدَغُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ

"A believer is not stung from the same hole twice." (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2998)

This is a profound lesson in wisdom, foresight, and discernment. Faith is not naive or foolish. A believer is intelligent and learns from their experiences and mistakes, both in worldly and spiritual matters. Being deceived or harmed once should make one wiser and more cautious, ensuring they do not repeat the same error.

الْمُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشُدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا

"The believer to another believer is like a building; each part supports the other." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 481)

This powerful metaphor illustrates the ideal of Muslim unity and solidarity. Like bricks in a strong wall, each believer is essential to the strength and integrity of the entire community. We are meant to support, strengthen, protect, and uplift one another, because the strength of one is the strength of all.
