This year we've partnered with The Guardian as part of their Legacies of Enslavement programme to create 4 new free walking and wheeling routes across Greater Manchester.

The Legacies of Enslavement programme is a restorative justice initiative responding to the Guardian founders' connections to transatlantic enslavement, and these walks are one way of bringing that history to life through our communities.

This year, the GM Walking Festival is all about celebrating and connecting communities through walking. Whether it’s a social stroll, a heritage walk, a wellbeing walk, or something totally unique, every walk helps bring people together and showcase the amazing communities across Greater Manchester.
