Family cycling fun at Wythenshawe Park! Pedal Party is back next Sat 15th June 10am-12 🥳🚲🌳

FREE Learn to ride for little ones and bikes to borrow to ride the trails with British Cycling and our team of amazing volunteers. Find us at the Learn to Ride Area by the Wythenshawe Park pump track, near the athletics track. Bikes available to borrow. Just come along!

Volunteers also crucially needed if anyone wants to lend a hand. Message us or email [email protected] to get involved.

Great work from one of our groups braving the rain for litter picking around Wythenshawe Park this week as part of the volunteering section of their award. It’s great that our young people can help to take care of our awesome park.

Our HAF Outdoor Holiday Club is open for bookings! For Manchester based children on free school meals.

Outdoor activities, fun and food 9am-1pm Mon-Thurs for 8-16 yr olds for the first 4 weeks of the school holidays.

Some fantastic tarps and debris shelters built by our Bushcraft Club last night as well as some tree climbing fun. Our more experienced members now helping in teaching their skills onto the newer members of the group. Huge thanks to Tom for running the session with support from volunteers Aneesa and John ☺️🌳

We are delighted to share the impact that our The Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants have made locally through their volunteering section of the award.

They have been volunteering here at Wythenshawe Park, being young leaders at local Guide and Scout Groups, helping out at their local churches and mosques, litter picking, coaching at sports clubs and supporting other students at school - to name just a few!

All helping them to support their local communities and to learn new skills for their future.

A beautiful sunshiney day for learning about navigation last week for our Stepping Up Rochdale group which is an intro to walking programme for women.

We introduced the group to orienteering using maps of their local park as a great way to learn vital navigation skills and discover another fun way to get outside with family and friends.

This programme is a collaboration with Grass Routes Movement funded by Sport England Movement fund.
