For LGN, National Trustee Week has had a lasting effect for the entire month. We met on the 1st of November, a Saturday, when other working professionals are usually putting their feet up and sipping a cuppa. Our trustees, many of whom are still in paid employment, go the extra mile for our beneficiaries; whether that is dressing up for Halloween on a Sunday Roast, or ensuring our comings and goings are up to date, travelling many miles to do so. That’s commitment, not to mention the ongoing support from other board members that continues to have a deep impact on the staff and service users overall. Thank you LGN trustees. Rachel, Lou and Liz, here, are some of the key members keeping us going from strength to strength—community influencers. Shout out to Grants and Fatiha too.
“Being a trustee gives me an insight into worlds that I am fascinated by, and gives me an opportunity to learn more about them and also to influence – to a certain degree – the direction the charity takes.”
