Another great night tonight at our Lego Social for Neurodivergent Adults.

We had some really open and honest conversations, and no matter how many times we host these groups, I always learn something new about our wonderful community.

If you like building Lego, consider yourself to be Neurodivergent, and want to access authentic peer support, then please come and join us at one of our sessions. No formal diagnosis needed and run by people with lived experience.

As a not for profit organisation, our way of generating income, to keep doing what we do, is contributed to by ticketing our sessions.

The minimal fees we do charge, are to help us pay the bills, buy refreshments and equipment, and contribute towards things like admin time and insurances. Our sessions are low cost, and everything you need is provided.

Running our community interest company costs money, and takes up a lot of time, for which most time is often unpaid.

We do have a refund policy in place, which is stated at the time of booking. This is to make sure we have some contribution towards the very basic costs involved with running our project.

Please take time to read the refund policy when you book your space on our workshops or events.

As some members of our community will know, I had some pretty major surgery 4 weeks ago. I’m recovering well, but some days are more tiring than others.

Today I have more energy, so I made the most of it and visited the wonderful Merly’s Kitchen CIC at Damhouse in Astley. It’s a fantastic organisation, the food is great, and every penny of their profits is reinvested back in to the community.

What’s even better is they recognise neurodivergent people’s needs, so it’s a really calming and sensory friendly space.

There are so many wonderful non-profit organisations within our borough, and this is one of them! So if you haven’t been before, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Hope to see some of you again soon when I’m fully back on my feet.

Another Saturday, another one of our Upcycling workshops.

Our furniture sessions are for neurodivergent adults, whether formally diagnosed or not. ADHD, Autism or any other ND condition - this space is for you!

At My ND Space CIC, we’re passionate about driving real system change for the Neurodivergent community. 💜

Too many Neurodivergent people have been misdiagnosed, misunderstood, mistreated, and left carrying lifelong trauma because the systems around us continue to fail us.

Lack of understanding.
Lack of compassion.
Lack of reasonable adjustments.

And despite laws, policies, and mandatory training in many sectors, far too many professionals still aren’t meeting the needs — or even the legal rights — of Neurodivergent people.

We deserve better.

Neurodivergence is diverse and complex, but meaningful change doesn’t always require huge budgets. Small, thoughtful adjustments can completely transform someone’s experience, wellbeing, and sense of safety.

So we’ll keep speaking up.
We’ll keep challenging systems.
And we’ll keep advocating until real change happens. 💪🏼
