Volunteer at your local pub during the World Cup! Macmillan are looking for volunteers to join their team between 14th to the 17th of June 2026 holding bucket collections for Macmillan at the Trevor Arms Pub in Chorlton. As part of , we're pleased to announce the winner of our Young Volunteer of the Year Award for ! 🙌

Congratulations to the fantastic Demi Murch for her incredible voluntary work in the city of Manchester! 🏆

At just 20 years old, Demi has been a weekly volunteer at St Aidan's Centre for 3 years and helps with the foodbank. She is also on the leadership team for the Building Bridges Project and a
voice for young people with disabilities. Demi has given a number of formal presentations, some at large gatherings, addressing the local MP as well as the Greater Manchester Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

'Demi is an inspirational leader and a shining example of how people can turn their own experiences of discrimination into a force for good.' - Gerry, Caritas Diocese of Shrewsbury

For Volunteers' Week, our team have interviewed Demi about her amazing work. Keep an eye out; we plan to release this next week!

It was great to meet so many lovely people interested in volunteering this week!

If you are interested in volunteering but would like an in-person chat about where to start/what's out there. We're at Manchester Central Library every 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month from 10am to 3pm!

Come drop by or you can book a slot on our website (linked in our bio). However, it's not necessary to book you can just pop by!

New Volunteer Opportunity!

Would you like to get involved in the Big Burnage Parade, and its Finale in Fog Lane Park, from 11am-5.30pm Sunday 5th July. The Big Burnage Parade need some help!

There are various roles including stewarding the parade, handing out and collecting in artworks for those parading, helping with the people parading and some big puppets involved, decorating the park in advance and generally keeping it lovely on the day. Do please email [email protected] for info.
