Days out to places of interest and popular seaside resorts and country places The Lakes, aimed at reducing social isolation and Loneliness and having fun at the same time. North City Nomads is a membership, community group for people over 50 years old,
Open to residents living in: Higher Blackley,Charlestown,Harpurhey,Moston,New Moston, Crumpsall, Cheetham,Newton Heath,Miles Platting and Ancoats.a

s well as people working in those areas or attending social groups located there. North City Nomads can cater for disabled people with mobility problems by using coaches that have lift access, so that Nomads who need to remain in their wheelchairs, can do so throughout the trips. The aim of the Group is to connect people, to encourage making new friendships, and to support people to expand their social circles . Members pay a £5 membership fee and once registered, which they can do each year,can participate in coach trip days out, organised on their behalf. Raffles on each coach are organised during each trip to raise a little extra funding for the group. The support of the volunteers on each coach are there for your convenience we are a not for profit enterprise organisation. The project is delivered by a small Management group of unpaid volunteers. North City Nomads organise 4 trips per year including a Christmas special where we enjoy a Christmas meal with dancing available. Last year we were entertained at the Village Hotel in Ashton.
