ple with emotional or psychological distress, drugs and alcohol misuse. Beneficiaries include older people, unemployed, BME communities, carers, and young people not in education, employment or training. We use dance and drama to improve mental and physical wellbeing, and promote social inclusion. We aim also is to provide increased opportunities for volunteers to take on responsibilities in running our workshops and food bank, stage management, administration, and performance. To offer a wide range of opportunities for people to learn and exchange new and interesting skills, and to work together towards a common creative goal. We use performance, drama, and reading groups, to improve participants' mental health, physical wellbeing, and social inclusion, within a creative and supportive social environment. We encourage beneficiaries and volunteers to assume leadership of the projects, so that this community resource can be maintained and become sustainable.

Today I taught the group how to build a bushcraft ladder pack frame deep in the Alaskan wilderness — bears circling, wolves howling, survival on a knife‑edge.
Okay fine… it was Centenary Gardens. But we did see a kitten that looked like it could take on a moose. .

A hot, low‑smoke fire with wet wood comes from building a strong dry core first, then using that heat to drive moisture out of the wet wood before it burns. Start with a raised base and a V‑shape or log‑cabin lay using dry kindling, fatwood, birch bark, and split inner heartwood to create a high‑temperature core. Once the flames are stable and roaring, pre‑dry the wet wood by leaning it around the fire or resting it above the heat so the steam can escape. Add small amounts at a time and let each piece catch. With good airflow and steady heat, even wet birch, pine, ash, or hazel will burn cleanly.

Today’s art session was amazing. People from across the community — a wonderful mix of cultures and backgrounds — came together to experiment, explore and create in their own style, at their own pace. The best part was the face‑to‑face connection: real conversations, friendships forming, and a supportive network growing around the table.
