Join us on Monday 2nd March for the first Fuelling Greater Manchester event of 2026 which this month coincides with the 🌎📆

The event will feature some knowledge sharing presentations as well as plenty of time to catch up and network 🙌

Carbon Co-op will present a sneak peak of their GMCA commissioned report that reviews the capacity and ambition of the Community Energy sector and make recommendations for growth, development and collaboration 🌎

There's a huge amount of work already happening around community energy in Greater Manchester. We want to come together to think about how we can take the sector from strength to strength 💪

Everyone is welcome, from community energy experts to those who just want to hear more about how we can reclaim the energy system! ⚡

Drinks and light refreshments will be provided 🍵

Great to set up our stall at yesterdays Tameside Climate Action Conference
We met people from Mossley Energy Co-op as well as lots of other voluntary groups across Tameside. Inspiring to see so much positive action for the planet taking place in the area 🌍

We’re thrilled to announce that we have launched a solar panel competition to help local communities benefit from the low carbon, low cost electricity provided by solar panels 😎

Using funding from our GMCR Community Fund we are inviting charities to apply for up to £10,000 toward the purchase and installation of solar panels on their building 🌞

We had a great time at the last night 🏆

Although we didn’t win, it was inspiring to hear about so many incredible projects from around the country and meet some wonderful folk working in the sector 🌞

We did it!! We’ve successfully completed our 2025 share offer! 🎉🙌

As of 15 August, we had received share applications totalling just over £160,000!

We’re also extremely proud to announce that we’ve been offered £25,782 in equity match investment from the Co-operatives UK’s Community Shares Booster Fund.

That means we have enough to install solar arrays at three schools! 🥳

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved for their support 🙌
