The Beaver Colony meets 6:30pm - 7:30pm. The Cub Pack meets 6:30pm - 8:00pm. The Scout Troop meets 7:30pm - 9:15pm. We are an active and inclusive group, bringing Scouting to young people ages 6 to 14. We currently have place

s available, so come and join the adventure! Our Beaver Colony brings fun and discovery to our 6 to 8 year old members. We go on trips and have Beaver Sleepovers, as well as our weekly Colony meetings, where we play games and do fun activities. This section is run by Badger. Our Cub Pack brings adventure and learning to our 8 to 10 1/2 year old members. We go camping indoors and outdoors, as well as going on day trips. At our Pack meetings, we develop our skills and spend plenty of time playing games. This section is run by Akela (AKA Grey Wolf), assistant leader Bagheera and pack assistant Mowgli who floats between our sections helping Beavers and Scouts too. Our Scout Troop brings development and growth to our 10 to 14 year old members. We go on camps and trips, and enjoy fun challenges at our weekly meetings through activities and games. This section is run by Beth and the assistant leader, Jonathan.

Very impressed with our scouts who rose to the challenge of making an FM radio on Tuesday (session 1 of 2) at the end of the session we had 3 finished and mostly working kits of the 6 Radio Society of Great Britain kits. Next week we'll have the multimeters out and see if we can't diagnose the almost–complete / almost–working ones. And see if we can do some solder sucking on some of the other scouts' kits for whom I wasn't able to directly supervise techniques... there are one or two beautifully constructed solder bridges to deal with 🤘 🌉. Our meeting place is raising money for a new Boiler. Birch Community Centre's 30 year old boiler gave up the ghost just before half term. If you are able to help, please have a look at their appeal.

HELP! THE BOILER HAS BROKEN! Birch Community Centre, Manchester M14 is loved and used by a wide variety of local groups, charities, voluntary organisations. Any donation, large or small will make a massive impact. New boiler costs almost £15k.
