What a fantastic day celebrating the official red ribbon ceremony and launch of the brand-new YSG Sports Playzone at Manley Park, Whalley Range! 🎉⚽️🎀

A huge thank you to the Football Foundation, Manchester FA, MCRactive, Manchester City Council, and the Lord Mayor of Manchester, alongside the Executive Member for Leisure & Culture Cllr Shazia Butt, Deputy Assistant for Early Years, Children & Young People Cllr Dave Marsh, Cllr Yasmine Dar and Cllr Bano, for helping make this special occasion possible.

Most importantly, a massive thank you to our incredible young people, partners, staff and community. ❤️ Your energy, enthusiasm and support are at the heart of what makes YSG’s work so special.

🌟 A very special shoutout to YSG CEO Majid Dar for his incredible hard work, dedication and commitment in helping bring this vision to life. This Playzone is more than just a facility — it is an investment in our children and young people and a legacy that will create opportunities for generations to come. 👏💙

The new Playzone is a fantastic space for children and young people to play, be active, build confidence, develop skills and create positive opportunities within our community. 🙌

What a fantastic first week at our HAF Summer 2026! ☀️

Our young people got stuck into a variety of group activities, sports and games, got creative with arts and crafts, and enjoyed a whole range of fun activities throughout the week.

As an extra bonus this week, everyone enjoyed some delicious Dixy Chicken mini burgers, chips and drinks! 🍔🍟🥤

We’re back on Monday 10th August at 11:00am and can’t wait to do it all again. See you there! 👋⚽🎨

It’s been a while, so here’s a little update from us! 🫡🫶🏼

After a long wait, we’re finally making progress on our YSG site! We’re now installing our branded insulated cladding roof panels — TATA 120mm — and the building is really starting to take shape. 🏗️🙌🏼

Our multi-use building will be a busy hub for the community, serving as an AP school in the mornings, hosting after-school projects, youth projects in the evenings, women-only fitness sessions, and so much more! ❤️

There’s a lot more to come, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you.
