Congratulations to everyone involved in the Bradford District and Craven Wellbeing Network on the Community Impact Award and the highly commended recognition for Partnership of the Year.

We’re proud to be part of the network alongside The VCS Alliance and our fellow delivery partners. A special congratulations to the Bradford South Wellbeing Hub team. It’s good to see their hard work supporting local people recognised nationally.

Today we had the great privilege of attending the National Charity Awards in Peterborough.

We are proud that the Bradford District and Craven Wellbeing Network won “Community Impact Award” and was highly commended as “Partnership of the Year Award”

The Wellbeing Network is a joint project led by The VCS Alliance and ran in partnership with Sutton Centre, Equality Together Inspired Neighbourhoods, The Bridge Project and a wider selection of delivery providers.

Our team work tirelessly on this project running the Bradford South Wellbeing Hub and it’s great to see their hard work being recognised nationally

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent Greenwood Centre Community Listening Meeting at Bolton Villas Family Church.

Residents shared ideas, raised concerns and spoke about what they would like to see at the centre, including:

More activities and opportunities for children and young people.
Health, wellbeing and social activities for all ages.
Opportunities for older residents to connect and reduce isolation.
A welcoming space bringing people from different backgrounds together.
The building restored and brought back into community use.

Over recent weeks, our Inspired Neighbourhoods CIC team has distributed approximately 1,000 leaflets, knocked on doors and spoken with local people. We want to keep hearing from residents as plans develop.

Look out for our upcoming Donuts and Doorsteps visits. We’ll be out in the neighbourhood with donuts and time to listen to your ideas.

Thank you to Bolton Villas Family Church for supporting this work, and to everyone who has contributed so far.

Young people’s views matter in discussions about the Greenwood Centre’s future.

Our team at Inspired Neighbourhoods recently visited the youth group at Bolton Villas Family Church to listen to local young people and youth workers.

Young people spoke about wanting safe, welcoming places to spend time in the evenings. Ideas included basketball, football, gaming stations, pool, snooker, table tennis and a space to relax with friends.

They also told us that one youth session a week isn’t enough. They would like more regular evening activities, opportunities to learn new skills and support from trusted youth workers.

These conversations will help inform the next stage of work on the Greenwood Centre. Thank you to the young people and youth workers for welcoming us and sharing their views.

We’re continuing these conversations at our Community Listening Meeting:

Wednesday 7 October 2026
7pm to 9pm
Bolton Villas Family Church
Livingstone Road, Bradford, BD2 1PZ

Please come along and share what you would like to see at the Greenwood Centre.

Our Inspired Neighbourhoods team was out in the community again yesterday, speaking with residents and inviting people to the upcoming Greenwood Centre Community Listening Meeting.

Thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat. We heard memories of the centre and ideas about what residents would like to see there in the future. These conversations are helping us understand what matters locally as plans develop.

We would like to hear from more of you at the meeting:

Wednesday 7 October 2026
7pm to 9pm
Bolton Villas Church, Livingstone Road, Bradford, BD2 1PZ

Come along and tell us which activities, services and opportunities you feel are needed, whether for children and young people, families, older residents or the wider community.

We want to work alongside residents to explore how the Greenwood Centre could return to positive, sustainable community use. Your views will help inform the next stage of that work.

If you live locally, please join us and share your ideas.

As work around the Greenwood Centre continues, our Inspired Neighbourhoods team has been meeting with colleagues from Bradford Council to provide an update on the work taking place and the developing plans for the centre.

An important part of this work is making sure local residents have a genuine opportunity to be involved. We want to understand what matters to people locally, hear different ideas and continue working with residents and partners as plans develop.

Our next Greenwood Centre Community Listening Meeting is another opportunity to get involved:

Wednesday 7 October 2026
7:00pm to 9:00pm
Bolton Villas Church, Livingstone Road, Bradford, BD2 1PZ

If you live locally, we would like to hear what you think. What activities and services would you like to see? What opportunities are needed for children, young people, families and older residents? What would make the Greenwood Centre useful and welcoming for the local community?

The feedback we receive will help us better understand local priorities and inform the next stage of the work.

Please come along, share your views and join the conversation. You can also help us reach more residents by sharing the meeting details with friends, family and neighbours.

Recently, our Inspired Neighbourhoods team has been out in the local community again, delivering Greenwood Centre engagement leaflets and speaking directly with residents about what they would like to see happen at the centre.

It was good to meet local resident Richard and hear his views and ideas. Conversations like this are an important part of understanding what matters to people living in the area.

Our engagement is about more than delivering leaflets. We want to listen to residents, build relationships and make sure local people have opportunities to stay involved as the work develops.

Residents can also join the Greenwood Centre Neighbourhood WhatsApp Group, and further community listening sessions will provide more opportunities to share views.

If you see our team out and about, please come over and have a chat. Whether your ideas are about young people, sport, health and wellbeing, community activities, skills and employment, or something else you feel the area needs, we would like to hear from you.

Thank you to Richard and everyone who has taken the time to speak with us so far. We will continue listening to residents and keeping the community involved as plans for the Greenwood Centre develop.

Recently, our Inspired Neighbourhoods team has been out in the local community delivering Greenwood Centre resident engagement leaflets door-to-door and speaking with people who live nearby.

Listening to local residents is an important part of shaping what happens next at the Greenwood Centre. We want local people to have a genuine opportunity to share their views, ideas and priorities as the plans develop.

We would like to hear what you would like to see at the centre, including activities for children and young people, health and wellbeing activities, support for families and older residents, training and employment opportunities, community events, accessible meeting spaces, and improvements to the building and surrounding area.

Most importantly, we also want to hear your own ideas.

We have already had some positive conversations with residents, and these discussions will help us better understand what matters to the local community.

Residents can also join the Greenwood Centre Neighbourhood WhatsApp Group to receive updates, share ideas and stay involved as the work progresses.

Our approach is to work with local residents, listen to the community and continue developing plans that can support the long-term regeneration of the Greenwood Centre and bring it back into positive and sustainable community use.

If you live locally, we would like to hear from you.

Greenwood Centre – Listening to Our Community

Last week, the Inspired Neighbourhoods team was out in the local community, meeting local residents and engaging in discussions of the future of the Greenwood Centre.

We start with one simple idea: listen first. We want local residents to have a real say in shaping what happens next at the Greenwood Centre.

So, what would you like to see at the centre? We're asking residents to share their views on:

Activities and opportunities for children and young people
Health, wellbeing and community activities
Support for families and older residents
Training, skills and employment opportunities
Community events and accessible meeting spaces
Improvements to the building and surrounding area
Your own ideas for the future of the centre

We've already had some brilliant conversations with residents, and we want to keep that going.

You can also join our new Greenwood Centre Neighbourhood WhatsApp Group, a simple way to stay in the loop, share your ideas, and keep involved as plans take shape.

This is the start of a new chapter for the Greenwood Centre. Where we as a community bring the centre back into positive, sustainable use.

Your views matter. Together, we can help shape the next chapter for the Greenwood Centre.
