Pakistan is considered a third-world nation due to a need of assets, infrastructure, openings, and assurance of its essential rights. This makes living conditions for millions of individuals within the nation very difficult. Thousands of underprivileged people don't have access to food, water, and shelter.
According to the statistics, poverty in Pakistan expanded by 1% in 2020. This implies that more than 2 million individuals have fallen underneath the destitution line with developing inflation and costs, managing meals has gotten to be near impossible for many people.
Due to this, the duty falls on the shoulders of the privileged class to assist give the essential necessities of life to the needy.
With this ideology in mind, Al-Masoom International Foundation Trust started their Free Dastarkhwan under the name of Food Support Program for Humanity w.e.f.22 May, 2022 in Pakistan.
The first free dastarkhwan was established in Rawalpindi.
