There's still time to Have Your Say on our proposed merger 📢

We're inviting our residents to share their views on our proposed merger with neighbouring housing association, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and tell us what you think. Your feedback will play an important role in the future direction and priorities of the new organisation if the merger goes ahead.

Your response will be carefully considered before our Boards make a decision later this year.

We recently celebrated the opening of Two Didsbury Point, a fantastic development of social rent and shared ownership homes in such a desirable area 🫶
Residents are already starting to move into their new homes, and we’re so happy to see the instant positive impact a scheme like this can have.
The scheme comes complete with a brand new, larger facility for the Didsbury Medical Centre, increasing the local community's access to NHS health services.

In the words of one new shared owner: “I’m really looking forward to starting the next chapter. Shared ownership is what made this possible for me, and I think it’s a great way to help more people get into well-designed new homes in good locations”🤝

*This event took place before the Greater Manchester mayoral by-election, and Bev Craig attended as Leader of Manchester City Council.

We're launching our updated website next week, as part of our plans to improve digital services 🤝

Tenants have been involved in this project throughout, and your feedback has helped shape the new look of the website.

You'll be able to visit the website from the afternoon of Wednesday 5 August.

Do I need to do anything when the new website launches? 🤔

No! Our address will stay the same, and nothing about your accounts will change.

Just like the old website you be able to contact teams directly through online forms, and access your customer portal account as usual.

If you have any pages from the old website saved or bookmarked on your devices, unfortunately, these won’t work on the new website. Once you have found the relevant pages on the new website, you will be able to save them again as new bookmarks.

Important update for House Exchange users 📢

House Exchange is permanently closing on Friday 31 July 2026, and will not be available to use after this date.

To continue searching for a mutual exchange, Southway tenants can register for free with HomeSwapper at homeswapper.me

If you're currently using House Exchange, be sure to save the contact details of anyone you're discussing a swap with before House Exchange closes.

You'll also need to register for a new HomeSwapper account, as existing accounts won't transfer automatically.

If Southway is already processing your exchange application, this can continue through the usual approval process.

This year's theme, There's No Place Like Home, feels especially meaningful for us as a housing provider.

We know that home is far more than bricks and mortar. It's where people feel safe, valued, respected and able to be their whole selves 🫶

By marching together, we're celebrating the belief that everyone deserves a home, and a community, where they're welcomed and celebrated for who they are.
