A stronger future, together 🤝
We're pleased to share that the Boards of Southway Housing Trust and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group have approved our merger.
By coming together in early November this year, we'll create a new, stronger housing organisation serving more than 47,000 residents across 21,000 homes in Greater Manchester.
This means:
🏠 We'll invest around £2 billion in our existing homes over the next 30 years
🏗️ We'll build 3,200+ homes, which is 750 more than we aimed to achieve separately
🤝 We'll be able to provide better services, with dedicated local housing officers and more specialist support for our residents
🌱 We'll invest more in our communities and have new opportunities to get extra funding
📍 We're staying local, with the same local offices and strong connection to our neighbourhoods and communities
It's also important to know that your rights as a tenant won't change because of the merger. You don't need to do anything, the way you contact us will stay the same, and your rent and service charges won't increase because of the merger.
