Embassy Village

Christian charity providing accommodation, life skills, job support & aftercare for people leaving homelessness.

Just built a 41 home village for men and taken on an apartment block for women! http://www.stewardship.org.uk/partners/ittakesacity Launched in 2019, we currently use shared houses but have planning permission to build a village of 40 homes and a training base. Our resettlement team teach budgeting, shopping, and cooking whilst mentoring, discipling and guiding people through a recovery course. Full time employment is possible via 22 corporate partners. Once we have supported them saving for a deposit, we help to find and aid people to sustain permanent accommodation with aftercare, meaning they leave us with no need for council housing or benefits.

The housing community summit was a great experience for our team.
Having the opportunity to glean from many of the major contributors in housing, as well as Laighton sharing on the importance of relationships/partnerships, left the team deeply impacted and encouraged for the journey ahead.

Here at Embassy, we are grateful to be a part of these conversations and to know that together, we can help change lives.

We look forward to sharing more of the journey with you!

We are so excited for our latest lady who has moved into our woman's apartments. With just one more apartment left to fill, the culture between the women is growing with high hopes for the future that lays ahead!

We look forward to journeying alongside all the women.

And just like that, our first resident has moved on from the village! This week our team assisted R to move into his own place and we are so excited for his next steps and this new chapter in his story.

Things at the village are growing and changing rapidly. We can't wait to share more stories with you!

The final beds are in! Thank you to James Dunne and the team at Prestige beds for their help to fully kit out all the homes at the village with beds and mattresses. As we get closer to occupying all homes, moments like this are priceless!
