We have been having so much fun over the past few weeks in our Pre-School with the students from local secondary schools Edgar Wood Academy & Redwood School who are part of the ‘Teens & Toddlers’ enrichment programme in partnership with Power2.

Our children get excited every Friday morning waiting for their student buddies to arrive!

The weather didn’t stop the fun this morning.

Our Pre-School ‘School Leavers’ had an amazing time at Treetop Nets. We are so proud of how brave they all were as they climbed and explored the high nets!

⭐️For the whole month of June 2026 we’ll be inviting people to tell us about the journey they’ve been on while accessing services and support here at Burnside!

⭐️It’s just a quick impact survey which you are invited to complete here:
https://www.rochdalecommunityconsortium.org.uk/impactsurvey

These results will form part of a bigger Rochdale-wide impact survey report, on behalf of the Rochdale Community Consortium which Burnside is the lead organisation for as part of the The National Lottery Community Fund.

Why are we undertaking this? So that grassroots organisations like Burnside, across Rochdale Borough can continue to exist, demonstrate impact, grow in capacity and remain a vital part of our social fabric 🙌

Burnside’s Pre-School have been taking part in our weekly Forest School sessions.

They have been enjoying doing different activities such as collecting natural items to make pictures and printing with flowers/leaves etc.

Big thank you to Irene our Forest School volunteer who has also kindly taken time to make all the children bags to collect items in!
