Once Upon a Smile provides an opportunity for bereaved children and their families to share their thoughts and feelings in fun and safe environment. In 2019, Once Upon

a Smile opened the doors to Sidley House, a dedicated bereavement centre, based in Old Trafford. Sidley House has dedicated rooms for specific activities, to allow bereaved children to express in a fun and safe environment both in groups and individually.

Grand Ball 2026–Update
We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to our incredible supporters, we raised over £49,000 at this year’s Grand Ball, celebrating 15 years of Once Upon a Smile.
These vital funds will help us continue providing specialist bereavement support to children and young people across the North West.
A huge thank you goes to our headline partners Sprayed Concrete Solutions and Roydon Group, event partners Leasing Options and TRM, as well as all of our supporters and volunteers who helped make the evening such a success. 💛
