Looking to volunteer? If you are 18 - 67 years (of working age) & currently looking for work, not in training or education and can spare 2-4 hours a week in September & October, we have a great volunteering opportunity for you! Please share with your contacts!

We will be running a project in September & October, meeting on Sundays between 10am - 12pm, to plan a public event to deliver information to the community about Home Energy Efficiency. Don't worry if you don't have any previous knowledge or experience on this subject, if you want to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you!

We had an absolute blast at our nature craft event on Friday. 58 children of all ages rocked up with their families and got stuck in making leaf prints, clay critters and woodland eyes 👀

Thank you to everyone who came along with such creativity and concentration, and to Susan from Lancashire Wildlife Trust - Nature and Wellbeing for helping us to host this free event.

Looking for a fun, outdoor activity for your children this morning? We’re teaming up with Lancashire Wildlife Trust to host a nature crafts event in St Mary’s Flower Park (M25 1ED).

Come along on Friday 14 August between 10am and 12pm and try out environmental craft activities like leaf printing, clay mask making and more.

No need to book, but children must be supervised.

We are excited to announce our Home Energy Efficiency Project volunteering opportunity. This project will be running between Sunday 6th September and Sunday 18th October. We are looking for a small group of individuals from the local community, to work with us on this project.

Criteria for this short term volunteering role -
Are you....
💚Aged 18 to 67 years old
💚Living in Prestwich
💚Not currently in employment, education or training
💚Looking to learn new skills & develop knowledge around energy efficiency
💚Able to work independently & within a team
💚Available to meet in Prestwich for project development meetings
The development meetings will be held on Sundays between 10am - 12pm, starting Sunday 6th September, ending with a public event on Sunday 18th October 2026

FREE CHILDREN'S NATURE CRAFTS SESSION -

Following on from the success of last year's session, we will be running another FREE Nature Crafts session for children in partnership with Lancashire Wildlife Trust - Nature and Wellbeing

Bring along your crafty kids to make their own nature based crafts to take home!

When: Friday 14th August 2026, between 10am - 12pm
Where: St Mary's Flower Park, Bury New Road, Prestwich

Please note - All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

A few photos from our pre-AGM litter pick around Prestwich Precinct with Clean Team Prestwich this morning. We feel grateful to be joined by individuals from our community, who turned up to litter pick in the rain with us. The precinct is a much cleaner place today due to their efforts - Thank you to you all!.

Do you have knowledge or/or experience around Home Energy Efficiency? We're looking for individuals to join a sub group to help us develop our Home Energy Efficiency Project (HEEP for short!).

We were successful in obtaining a small pot of funding to work with adults who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), to develop a project around improving energy efficiency in the home. We will be looking to recruit NEET individuals to take part in the project later in the year, but for now we are looking for knowledgeable individuals to help us with the planning stage, recruiting individuals to the project & creating resources for those volunteers.
