STALLHOLDER ANNOUNCEMENT - LEAP will be joining us at our event on Sunday 18th October, 2pm til 4pm at Church Lane Community Centre, Prestwich, M25 1AJ.

Worried about rising energy costs or finding it difficult to keep your home warm?

You may be eligible for support through LEAP.

LEAP provides free energy advice and support to households that are already in, or at risk of falling into, fuel poverty. Eligibility isn't limited to one type of household - homeowners, private renters and social housing tenants may all qualify.

Their friendly advisors can talk you through the options available and help identify the support that's right for your household.

Just 1 week to go until our Home Energy Efficiency event at Church Lane Community. Today we went to the lovely Time for Tea & held our final planning session. A big thank you to Daniel, Tiff, Susana & Roger for attending today's meeting & flyering in the village after the meeting.

We hope to see you all next week for tea, coffee, biscuits & cake! Plus chats about ways you can make affordable improvements to your home's energy efficiency.

STALLHOLDER ANNOUNCEMENT - Manchester Library of Things will be joining us on Sunday 18th October, between 2pm - 4pm at Church Lane Community Centre, Prestwich for our home energy efficiency event.

They will be bringing a thermal imaging camera for you to find out more about how they work and how you can borrow one for FREE directly from Manchester Library of Things.

As temperatures start to dip, why not borrow our thermal imaging camera and take a look inside your home's hidden heat losses?
You can also borrow a retrofit kit packed with tools to help with home improvements that could make it warmer and cheaper to run.
And the best bit?? THEY ARE FREE TO BORROW (thanks to Low Carbon Levy 💚💚)!!!

Another great meeting for our Home Energy Efficiency Team this morning. Only 2 weeks to go until our big event. Our flyers are fresh from the printers & will be appearing through your letterboxes over the next 1-2 weeks.

Please get in touch if you'd like to help with circulating flyers to households & groups within the community. All help appreciated 😁

Don't forget, we will be serving FREE tea, coffee, juice, biscuits & cake at our event on Sunday 18th October, 2pm til 4pm at Church Lane Community Centre in Prestwich. So pop down to join us for a brew. Here is a sneak preview of one of the colouring sheets for our children's activity table.

If so, please come along to our event on Sunday 18th October between 2pm - 4pm at Church Lane Community Centre in Prestwich, to find out how to make your home more energy efficient.

Whether you rent or own your home, our stallholders will have information about options to suit your needs.

We will have info stalls, short talks, freebies & personalised energy saving advice for you. We will also have free refreshments, so come along and join us for a brew!

🌍 Join us for a free community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing at The Barn Countryside Centre, Philips Park, Whitefield. Discover what the climate and nature crisis means for everyday life in the UK, then take part in an open discussion about local action. Thursday 1st October. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start; refreshments available.

Our Home Energy Efficiency Team met today (Tiff, Madeleine & Dom) again at Village Greens Prestwich, to move plans forward for our Energy Efficiency event on Sunday 18th October.

This week our focus was on who the event will be for, how we can encourage those people to attend & what information we will have available.

We would love to hear from you if you've installed any energy efficiency measures in your own home. You could become an invaluable case study that we could share with the community to help & inspire others.
