Many women first become aware of osteoporosis after menopause, although the condition can affect people for many different reasons.

The Menopause Charity has been invited to contribute patient and carer evidence to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as it reviews medicines used to treat osteoporosis and reduce the risk of fragility fractures.

If you are living with osteoporosis, or care for someone who is, we'd really value hearing about your experience.

The survey asks about:
โ€ข Living with osteoporosis.
โ€ข Experiences of NHS care and treatment.
โ€ข The benefits and challenges of osteoporosis medicines.
โ€ข What could be improved.
โ€ข Whether some groups face greater barriers to diagnosis, treatment or support.

The anonymous survey takes around 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

Your experiences will help ensure that the voices of patients and carers are considered alongside the clinical evidence as NICE develops future guidance.

"Looking back, I can finally see the signs."

Today, Rebecca begins an incredible challenge.

Over the next few days, she'll be walking almost 150 miles from County Durham to Edinburgh.

Every mile is helping raise funds for The Menopause Charity.

Rebecca has shared her menopause story with us.

It's an honest reflection on confidence, self-compassion and discovering she wasn't alone.

If you've ever looked back and realised the signs were there all along, we think it will resonate with you.

An honest poem about menopause, written by supporter Kim Crosbie. In this piece, Kim shares her personal experience of symptoms of the psychological and physical changes.

Her words show both the challenges and the moments of connection and humour that can come during menopause.

At The Menopause Charity, we share real stories to help others feel less alone and better understood.

Your experience matters too. Sharing your story can help someone else feel seen and supported. It can also help us show what people are going through, so we can push for better services and support.

Every voice helps shape better understanding.

Every experience of menopause is different, and we'd love to hear yours.

We've launched our first annual Menopause Confidence and Wellbeing Survey to better understand confidence seeking support, access to trusted information, wellbeing and the impact of menopause on daily life.

What we learn will help us understand how women and individuals experiencing menopause feel about seeking support, finding trusted information and managing the impact of menopause on daily life. It will also help us track confidence and wellbeing over time, and shape future information and support.

โฑ๏ธ The survey takes around 5โ€“7 minutes to complete.

Women and individuals experiencing menopause deserve to have their voices heard.

Last week, we were proud to attend the launch of the This is Menopause exhibition at the Houses of Parliament.

Created by and supported by and UKRI Research England, the exhibition brings together artwork and personal reflections from women sharing their experiences of menopause. Hosted by MP, it created opportunities for contributors to speak directly with MPs and peers about the realities of menopause.

Listening to real voices helps improve understanding, challenge misconceptions and ensure the realities of menopause remain part of conversations about healthcare, workplaces and society.
