Introducing our USG of Chairing: Mohamad Gad!

Mohamad Gad is a third year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Liverpool. After many many conferences and two retirement claims, he keeps coming back. Something about students in suits fighting about politics gives him so much joy.
Outside of MUN, you’ll find him either crashing out over his university work or watching F1.

Mohamad looks forward to fruitful debates, and making sure MANMUN is as unforgettable as possible.

Introducing our USG of Academics: Narayani Gawande!

Narayani is a third-year International Relations student at the University of Leeds.

Narayani has been part of the MUN world since high school and somehow never stopped coming back. She loves exploring new topics, international affairs, and and bringing the academic side of MUN to life.

Outside of MUN, you'll probably find her dancing, painting, or convincing herself that planning a trip counts as a hobby.

Introducing our Vice President: Hannah Siju!

After successfully making it through her first year of Law (with her sanity mostly intact, mind you), Hannah decided the next sensible step was to become the Vice President of MANMUN. She first found her way into Model United Nations with the very reasonable goal of improving her public speaking skills, and has since discovered that she enjoys the art of structured disagreement a little too much.
Beyond committee sessions and policy discussions, you’ll find her at a café making plans, or being the neighbourhood photographer for her friends. With a sharp eye for detail and an appreciation for perspectives that are quieter but no less profound, she is just as likely to be observing conversations as she is to be shaping them.
As Vice President, she looks forward to contributing to a committee where opinions are heard, ideas are debated (and rightfully enforced where necessary) and no speech ever quite fits within the allotted time. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a first-time delegate nervously Googling, “what is a point of order”, she looks forward to making MANMUN 2026 an unforgettable one for all the right reasons… and possibly a few that can be questioned along the way.

Introducing our President: Deeksha Singh!

Deeksha has just wrapped up her second year of Psychology at the University of Manchester, which she will tell you gives her unmatched insight into delegate behaviour in committee. It does not, but she'll analyse you for free anyway. Outside of that, she's usually knee-deep in MUN, attempting something artsy, or three days into a brand new hobby she is sure she can master in no time.
She's racked up around 24 conferences at this point, a number that says less about her passion for MUN and more about her complete inability to say no to a conference email. Now back for her third consecutive year at MANMUN, this time as President - a promotion that mostly means more spreadsheets and work on, held together by sheer willpower and the kind of optimism that barely keeps burnout at arm's length.

Outside of conferences, you'll usually find her booking a concert ticket she can't really afford, adding three more books to a TBR list she will never finish, or agreeing to something she'll quietly regret by Tuesday. She's beyond excited to make MANMUN 2026 the best edition yet, mostly because she is now, legally, obligated to (kidding…)

Introducing our Secretary: Rhiannon Williams!

Despite being fairly new to the MUN community, Rhiannon is determined to fulfill her
role and help the society progress. She enjoys the debate as well as the social aspects of MUN and looks forward to engaging with the community more at conferences. She was voted to be the most likely to become the Prime Minister twice in secondary school. While she doesn't have any interest in this career, it is not surprising she won this title. She will frequently talk about British and Balkan politics, feminism, and the nationhood of Cornwall when the opportunities present themselves. Rhiannon enjoys engaging with pop culture like music and film in her free time. Her screentime on Letterboxd is likely higher than that on Canvas. Throughout next year, Rhiannon looks forward to welcoming people to the UOM conference as well as travelling to meet others in their own amazing cities.
