Great partnerships start with great conversations! πŸ—£

Recently, we welcomed colleagues from our Local Authority partners to our Liverpool office for a coffee morning, giving us the opportunity to showcase Bedspace's pathways and the support we provide to young people.

It was fantastic to be joined by Commissioning Officers, Social Work Directors, and Social Workers. The morning provided a valuable opportunity to share how we work alongside professionals to help young people build confidence, develop independence and create brighter futures.

The conversations didn't end there. Following the success of the event, we're looking forward to attending future Local Authority team meetings to continue strengthening our partnerships, share more about our pathways and explore how we can work even more closely together. 🀝

A huge thank you to everyone who attended! By building strong relationships and working collaboratively, we can continue delivering the best possible outcomes for the young people we support.

Every achievement starts with someone believing it's possible.

This International Youth Day, we're celebrating the incredible young people we have the privilege of supporting!

Over the past year, we've seen young people overcome challenges, gain qualifications, secure employment, build confidence, move into their own homes, reconnect with education and take huge steps towards independent futures. πŸ‘£

Behind every milestone is determination, resilience and hard work. We're incredibly proud of everything they've achieved and honoured to play a small part in their journeys.

To every young person we support: thank you for inspiring us every day. Your achievements remind us why we do what we do, and we can't wait to see what comes next.

Happy International Youth Day! πŸŽ‰

πŸ”§ We're hiring in Liverpool & Manchester! 🏑

Do you enjoy fixing things, solving problems and seeing the difference your work makes?

We're looking for Multi-Skilled Property Maintenance Operatives to join our team, helping us create safe, welcoming homes for the people we support.

πŸ”‘ Replacing locks, doors or damaged fittings
🏑 Carrying out repairs in occupied properties
✨ Preparing empty homes for new service users
πŸ”₯ Completing safety checks and property inspections
🌿 Looking after gardens and external areas
πŸ› οΈ Tackling general property repairs and maintenance

You'll work across our occupied properties and empty homes (voids), helping make sure properties are safe, comfortable and ready for the people who call them home.

We're looking for someone who:
βœ… Has at least 3 years' experience in property maintenance
βœ… Is confident with a range of general repairs
βœ… Has experience in residential property, housing repairs, social housing, voids or similar
βœ… Holds a full UK driving licence

What does it take to go from being a self-confessed "wrong 'un" to managing one of the UK's leading accommodation and support providers?

As we come to the end of Good Care Month, we're incredibly proud to celebrate an amazing young person, A, who this month has been presented with the Personal Achievement Award 2026 at the Wirral Met College Awards Evening!

The award recognises A's hard work, determination and the progress she has made throughout her educational journey. Staff were also delighted to hear from her teachers, who spoke proudly about everything she has achieved.

One of the most inspiring moments of the evening came afterwards, when A shared her next goal: applying to study Level 1 Health and Social Care this September! πŸ“š

It's a wonderful reminder of the positive impact that compassionate support can have, not only in helping young people achieve their goals, but in inspiring the next generation of people who want to make a difference in the lives of others.

Congratulations, A. We couldn't be prouder and can't wait to see where your journey takes you next! πŸ‘

As we continue celebrating Good Care Month, we're recognising that making a difference isn't always about the big moments. Sometimes it's about creating opportunities for young people to get outdoors, build confidence, strengthen friendships and improve their wellbeing. πŸŒ³πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈβ€βž‘οΈ

Our recent Wellbeing Walk brought together young people and colleagues from both the Wirral Pathway and Separated Children teams for a day of fresh air, conversation and shared experiences. πŸ—£

The walk gave young people the chance to socialise, stay active and build relationships across our services, while our team enjoyed spending time together in a relaxed and informal setting.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success. We're looking forward to making these Wellbeing Walks a regular feature, with new locations for young people to explore throughout the year!

As we continue celebrating Good Care Month, our recent Big Team Meeting gave colleagues the opportunity to hear directly from one of the young people we support. πŸ—£

Through an honest Q&A, they shared how having staff who listened, believed in them, and remained consistent, helped them build confidence, develop independence and prepare for the future.

Their story was a powerful reminder that the everyday conversations, encouragement and support our teams provide can have a life-changing impact.

A huge thank you to our young person for sharing their experiences so openly, to everyone who attended, and to Chris Wareing, who joined the session and reinforced the importance of keeping young people's voices at the heart of everything we do.

This Good Care Month, we're proud to celebrate the incredible people across Bedspace whose compassion and commitment help make stories like this possible every day! πŸ‘

As part of Good Care Month, we're proud to celebrate the incredible people who make a difference every day!

Congratulations to Joe Pacheco, who has been named Learning Skills Partnership's Line Manager of the Month, following a nomination from colleague Jackie Benoni, who Joe has been supporting through her Leadership and Management qualification.

Joe's award is a reflection of the supportive leadership, encouragement and commitment he brings to his role every day. He was presented with the award by Louise, whose coaching and reflective approach has also played an important part in Joe's own leadership journey.

Joe summed it up perfectly:
"Whilst the award may have my name on it, it is very much a reflection of the incredible team I am fortunate to work with every day.”

Congratulations Joe, and thank you to every member of our teams whose compassion, dedication and support continue to make a difference to the lives of the young people and adults we support!

As Pride Month draws to a close, we wanted to shine a light on some of the incredible organisations working to support LGBTQIA+ people across the UK.

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ AKT is the UK's national charity supporting LGBTQ+ young people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. They provide specialist housing support, emergency advice, mental health support, employability services and help young people build safe, stable futures. Their message is simple: no young person should have to choose between a safe home and being who they are.

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Pride Action North provides vital support, advocacy, counselling, youth services and wellbeing programmes, helping LGBTQIA+ people live safely and authentically.

At Bedspace, we know that safe accommodation changes lives. That's why we're proud to recognise organisations working every day to ensure LGBTQIA+ people have somewhere safe to belong.

If you're in a position to do so, please consider supporting these charities. Every donation, no matter the size, helps them continue providing life-changing services to those who need them most.

These are just two of the many incredible charities making a difference. Who else should people know about?

Tag an LGBTQIA+ charity or organisation in the comments and let's build a resource that helps more people discover the amazing support available in our local communities!
