God of life and love, as we witness the violence and injustice in Iran and across the Middle East we pray for all communities affected by this conflict and war, for everyone caught in the crossfire.
We pray for the people of Iran—for men, women, and children who live with daily fear and insecurity.
We lift up those wounded by the violence, those who have lost loved ones, and those who are being forced to flee their homes.
We pray for the leaders of the nations involved in this conflict, that they would be guided
towards reconciliation, dialogue, and unity.
We remember all who are working tirelessly for peace, often at great risk to themselves. Strengthen them in their efforts to rebuild lives and communities.
May the message of love, justice, and mercy be heard and embraced. Replace hatred with understanding, and fear with hope.
We pray for protection for the innocent and for healing to come to this deeply wounded land.
In the spirit of peace, we pray.

For the 23rd year St Margaret's Church are today, delighted to host the Whalley Range Peace and Justice Amnesty event, writing cards and letters of hope to political and prisoners of conscience across the world. Please join us to stand alongside those whose human rights are being violated. All welcome!

All about listening and hope this morning at St Margarets.

We heard about the amazing example of Jane Goodall, who 'sat with', listened and observed chimpanzees, enabling for the 1st time a greater understanding of how they function and interact with one another. She kept working right up until her recent death, at 91, to campaign tirelessly to protect the animals she cared so much about and the planet in which we all live. A fine example for us all.

We also practised our active listening skills, a key element of Jane's ability to connect with and understand the chimps and a key skill for living in harmony with each other.
