Some of our walkers have been out today training for the 32 mile challenge. They are all giving their time to raise money to give the fantastic young carers of Tameside respite treats. All donations are very gratefully received.

This is the fourth year we have done a sponsored walk to raise funds for the Friends of Tameside Young Carers Charity. This charity funds treats and respite activities for some of the 500 Young Carers we have in Tameside.

Only four weeks to go before we take on the 32 mile Tameside Trail raising money for the 500 wonderful young people who care for relatives, all money raised will help provide respite treats for these youngsters.

It's nearly time for our 4th annual big walk, where we take on the 32 mile Tameside Trail.
Why do that you ask?
We raise money to give treats and respite to some of the 500 wonderful young carers in our borough, giving them a rest, however short, from their caring duties.

What a great afternoon at the fashion show with clothes from Poppet's Place. Everyone enjoyed the event, which raised a fantastic £600, thanks for all your support.

It’s Young Carers Action Day on Wed 11 March. We are celebrating over two weeks to ensure that all the young carers who attend group sessions are included, with a buffet tea and decorations. We are reminding our young carers of their rights to:
A young carers assessment
Be protected from excessive caring responsibilities
School adjustments.
