Repair Café this Sunday 31st May!

Got something damaged at home? Don’t bin it, bring it along and let our volunteer tinkerers see if they can fix it with you.

From small repairs to getting your lawnmower ready for the warmer weather (not a heatwave!), we’ll do our best to help.

Alongside our repair café today, Friends of Stretford Public Hall is hosting a Family thrift Market. Come over to find some quality second hand goods at bargain prices.

Come on over to the hall to buy quality second hand family and kids items today from 10am-1pm. Entrance is free but we suggest a donation of £1 to help support the hall to keep running great community events.

Our Stretford Repair Café tinkerers will also be on site from 10am-12pm so if you have anything that needs fixing, bring it along!

Come along on Sunday 26th April to our Repair Café!

Bring along your broken or damaged items and give them a second life.

We’ll be offering:
General Repairs – chairs, toys, handles, small household items
Textile Repairs – torn clothes, missing buttons, broken zips
Electronics Repairs – lamps, cables, small electrical items

It’s getting warmer, which is lovely thanks to the bright spring, but you can also do your bit for the planet by repairing with help from our volunteers instead of binning things.

Spring is here, the perfect time to have a clear-out and check what you’ve got at home
Noticed your vacuum isn’t working as well as it should? Found a piece of clothing with a hole?

Don’t throw it away, bring it along to our Repair Café and our friendly team will try to fix it with you!

Our lovely volunteers will also be bringing in homemade cakes, so if you are curious about what happens but don't have anything that needs repairing, come along, have some cake and find out!

Repair Café is a relaxed, friendly space where volunteers help you have a go at fixing items. We don’t offer a repair service, instead, we work with you to explore what’s possible.

Sometimes things get fixed, sometimes they don’t, but you’ll learn something, meet lovely people, have a brew in our volunteer-led cafe, and help keep items out of landfill.

Bring it along and let’s see what happens.

The Stretford Repair Café is a free monthly event where you can bring along broken or damaged items and our friendly volunteer fixers will do their best to repair them.

We can help with a wide range of fixes, including:
🔌 Small electrical items
🧵 Clothes and textiles
🧸 Toys
💡 Lamps and household items
…and lots more!

Our goal is to reduce waste, save money, and keep useful items out of landfill — while sharing skills and bringing the community together. Whether you have something to fix or just fancy a cuppa and a chat, you’re very welcome. Repairs are done with you, so you can learn along the way.

First Repair Café of 2026! Starts at 10 am.
The last call for repairs is 12, so please arrive in good time.
Plus, our Family Thrift Market will be running upstairs from 10am–1pm, never know what you can find.

What is Repair Café?

A friendly, volunteer-run space where you can bring broken household items and have our volunteers try to fix them with you. We can’t promise repairs on the day — some items may need parts or more time — but it’s always worth popping in to see what the next steps are to get it sorted.

Please note: the Repair Café is open only until 12pm.

It’s a chilly weekend, perfect time to fix, not toss!
Bring along something that needs a bit of TLC and work alongside our amazing volunteer tinkerers to bring it back to life.

No promises, some things might need a spare part, but it’s all free, and you might just leave with something working again (and a smile!).
