Our Story.

Gorilla Warfare Alternative Education Provision CIC is a not-for-profit organisation offering an alternative educational environment with Salford, using physical activities as a method of learning which encourages and promotes our students to positively engage in education. This method ensures a syllabus of learning is delivered of basic English and Maths whilst developing and enhancing an in-depth understanding of their own physical health and well-being which will maximise their own ability to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle which they can take through the transition period to adulthood.

This programme of learning also aims to identity natural talent in individuals who are not naturally academic and don’t feel comfortable in a traditional classroom environment. Gorilla Warfare offers a place for learning whilst the focus on sport and physical activities enables them to feel comfortable and confident to achieve to the best of their abilities.

The ultimate aim is to enable the young people who attend the centre to be able to leave secondary education with a qualification which will be recognised in the health and leisure industry which will enable the young person to move onto higher education and give them the opportunity to achieve to the best of their ability and thrive to seek employment in their chosen are of the leisure industry.

All the young people that arrive at Gorilla Warfare are from different backgrounds and each have their own obstacles to overcome whether this is physical, emotional or psychological. We spend time with the representative from the organisation and the young person themselves to develop a specific plan to enable us to achieve the best results for that individual.
