Meet Hannah, Our Community Engagement Manager!
❓How did you hear about 422.
I attended a fireworks event put on by Manchester Vineyard Church in 2018 which was brilliant. I then started following them on social media and 2 years later, when the church began the project of 422, I followed the progress closely online.
❓A little about your history here:
I love seeing things (and people) be invested in to reach their full potential so 422 was a project I loved from the start. In 2023 I volunteered at 422 for a while, however due to work I had to stop. When the role of community engagement manager was advertised I was delighted that I had the relevant experience to apply and I started the role in March 2025.
❓An interesting fact about you?
I can make my tongue look like a monster munch!
❓What do you do in the team and any recent accomplishments?
As community engagement manager my role is mainly people focused, which I love. I get to work with the team at 422, other organisations who work within or to benefit the Longsight and Ardwick community and with local residents. My role is to help 422 be used in the best way possible for the benefit of the community. There’s lots happening behind the scenes at the moment but I hope some of our accomplishments will be seen in the coming months.
❓What do you do in your spare time?
At work I love spending time with people and it’s the same at home. Our house is always busy with lots of people popping in and out. I live with my husband, 2 teenage girls and my father-in-law so even when there’s no visitors, there’s never a dull moment. I just wish my spare time didn’t also have to be used to clean, cook and tidy. If I won the lottery I would still come to work - I’d just have a cleaner and a chef!
❓Favourite work snack?
I’m not really a snacker but I’m rarely seen without a Diet Coke on my desk.
❓Go to karaoke song?
Anything by Whitney Houston. Queen of the Night or I Wanna Dance with Somebody. Sadly, I can’t reach the high notes in I Will Always Love You.
❓Dream holiday?
Anywhere with quiet, golden sandy beaches, clear water, a palm tree for shade, a cocktail, and a good book.
