Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that looking after our mental wellbeing deserves the same attention as our physical health.

For yourself: take time to rest, set boundaries, talk openly, and ask for support when you need it.

For others: check in with people, listen without judgement, show kindness, and create spaces where conversations about mental health feel safe and normal.

Small actions can make a big difference, for ourselves and for those around us. 💚

It is World Thalassaemia Day! Let’s look at some facts about the condition.

Thalassaemia is a genetic 🧬 condition which affects haemoglobin levels causing severe anaemia.

Most people with Thalassaemia will need blood 🩸 transfusions. By donating blood you are helping to improve even save lives of those living with the condition.

Our St George’s Day celebration brought incredible energy, fun, and community spirit to Lakeside Cafe - Boggart Hole Clough ☀️🇬🇧 With amazing weather throughout, it was the perfect day to come together!

We welcomed over 200 people through the grounds from 10:00 to 16:00, all enjoying a wide range of activities — from , and to , balloon sculptures, playground fun, board games, and so much more 🎾⚽🎨

The enthusiasm and kindness of our volunteers and coaches truly made the day special. Supporting children and families, leading activities, cheering everyone on, and creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment — their impact was felt everywhere. It’s always inspiring to see people giving back to their community in such a meaningful way ❤️

And of course, there was plenty of delicious food and drinks for everyone to enjoy 🍽️🥤

A big thank you to Manchester City Council for helping make this celebration possible for families across North Manchester 🙌 MCRparks MCRactive
