🎉 GMBHCA nominated for the Best of Manchester Awards 2026! 🎉

We’re delighted and honoured to share that The Greater Manchester Bengali Hindu Cultural Association (GMBHCA) has been nominated for the Best of Manchester Awards 2026, organised by Manchester City Council.

The awards recognise the extraordinary people and organisations who support their communities, inspire others and help make Manchester a place where people can thrive.

While our Durga Puja is at the heart of what we do, GMBHCA is about much more. Over the years, our members and volunteers have worked to promote community engagement, cultural exchange, charitable initiatives, social inclusion and wider community participation, bringing people together and creating opportunities for people of different backgrounds and generations to connect.

We’re especially grateful for the kind words from the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Shaukat Ali, in his letter accompanying the nomination, recognising the dedication, generosity and commitment of those who contribute to making Manchester a stronger, more compassionate and connected city.

This nomination is a recognition of the collective efforts of our members, volunteers, supporters and partners — past and present. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute to GMBHCA and our wider community. 🙏❤️
