Hi, how are you? I hope you are well & had a good week!
Despite being bad in health, I have had a busy week & got a lot sorted out. I went to the COPD chest cinidc on Tuesday & they told me that with me having breathing problems every time I move about (transfering into my electric wheelchair, etc) the next treament is oxygen 16 hours a day, but could not use unless I give up smoing so has made me try again to give up smoking, so cut down to 4 cigs a day better then 20-30 a day lol!
On Wednesday, I had a social worker come around as they had been refusing to let me employ 2 PAs instead using a care agency where the carers only spend 20 mins instead of an hour & only do half the care duties that are needed to be done, also the carers are not trained. He agreed that I can now start employing PAs as I need 2, one for weekdays & 1 for weekends, should take the brokers 4-5 weeks to find me the PAs.
A couple of friends came around for some drinks with me yesterday & we caught up with a lot & fully enjoyed their company, I only had a few bitter shandies, made a pleasant change as not seen anything of my best friend for a long time, we had a good laugh.
