📢 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆📢

Due to recent misuse of the Community Centre, we’ve had to introduce additional potential charges for private bookings. These updates are now included in our new booking forms:
- £30 charge for every 15 minutes of late departure
- £50 per hour cleaning charge if the Centre requires substantial cleaning after use

We want to stress that this is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲. Most of our hirers treat the building with respect and leave it clean and tidy. Unfortunately, we’ve recently experienced situations where 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 have been met with unacceptable behaviour when arriving to lock up, and the building has been left in a poor condition.
These measures are in place to protect our volunteers and ensure the Centre remains a welcoming space for everyone.

it looks like there’s been a mix‑up about some props and cloths you think we’ve taken. Anyone who knows us knows we’ve got no reason to take anything, and definitely nowhere to store it.

I’ve tried getting in touch a few times, especially after the comments left on our posts, but I haven’t heard back from anyone.

Just to clear things up, we haven’t had any bookings since 21st December, apart from a family on Christmas Day, so it’s possible you’ve got us confused with another venue.

I’ve sent over my number in a DM — if someone from the bakery can give me a call, I’m happy to sort this out properly. There’s really no need for comments calling us thieves when it’s simply not true.

🌙 𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭’𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

We’d like to sincerely apologise to our local residents for the unexpected noise late last night. Unfortunately, we faced a major issue with the drains surrounding the community centre, which caused flooding inside the building and left us without working toilets.

As many of you know, we always ensure the centre is closed by 10pm to avoid any noise pollution. However, this was a critical emergency, and tankers were required to resolve the situation. We’re especially sorry for the disturbance caused to families with young children.

The problem has now been fully fixed, and we’re grateful for your patience and understanding. Thank you for bearing with us during this rare disruption.
