Pakistani Resource Centre

Pakistani Resource Centre The Pakistani Resource Centre is a registered charity and a voluntary organisation which was established in 1966

Our aim is to make a practical and positive difference by providing support and empowerment to the South Asian Communities (Pakistani, Indian, and Bangladeshi) within the Greater Manchester. To confront some of the problems they may be experiencing including unemployment, poor housing in inner city areas, racial abuse and cultural alienation. We provide essential services which reflect the needs o

f the South Asian Communities in the manner which is religiously and culturally sensitive to Service Users in the Greater Manchester area. Some of our services include providing counselling, emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing mental ill health and their carers and family. We provide support to victims of domestic violence; we also work in the field of criminal justice. We provide statutory mainstream services and other voluntary organisations with information about Asian ideas of personhood, culture and belief systems.
