Well we sipped and sowed and managed all the business of our Annual Meeting under the guidance of WFWI Federation Chair Helen Stark. We thanked 3 retiring committee members and welcomed 2 new members to the committee. We also welcomed a visitor from Boston USA and 2 new members. We must be doing something right.

We are founding members of Walking Rugby at Malvern which was initially set up as part of the Rugby World Cup Impact 25 programme, a collaboration between England Rugby and the WI. The new season is about to start so why not give it a try! Everyone is welcome and why not bring a friend!

Our April Meeting is on the 9th April at 7:30pm when members will be Sipping & Sowing. We will be sharing pots and seeds and choose what we would like to sow. We will also have the opportunity to make wildflower seed bombs all while listening to a 'flowery' playlist and enjoying our choice of drink to sip on.

Our March members’ meeting is on Thursday 12th when we will be hearing from Jacquie from Worcester Breast Unit Haven. They were seeking Worcestershire WIs to support them for 2026 and we think this could be a lovely thing for us. Jacquie will give us some information on the charity and its positive impact.
Thinking hats at the ready to suggest things we might like to do at meetings or beyond to support them.

Our February meeting will see Simon from the RSPB Worcester talk to us about birdsong. There seem to plenty of robins singing at the moment.
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Elim Conference Centre.at 7:30pm.

CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST
We will be channeling our inner ballerina at our January meeting with our Silver Swan ballet session. We are welcoming Pat from Cecilia Hall who will put all those willing through their paces. She suggests comfy, warm exercise wear and if you have them ballet shoes or socks!

The 25th November was International White Ribbon day and the International day for the Elimination of violence against women.
Good to see the White Ribbon campaign publicised at the local station.
The WI has 16 days of activism and on the 1st December members can join in a webinar hosted by The NFWI to learn more about coercive control,. 12.00-1.00pm. You can hear speakers from the Centre for Women’s Justice and Hourglass, a charity that focuses on ending the harm, abuse and exploitation of older people in the UK.

Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival runs from the 4th December to the 6th January. https://www.worcestercathedral.org.uk/whats-on/christmas-tree-festival-2025
Worcestershire Federation of WIs asked for decorations to go on the WI tree representing our latest campaign for CPR and defibrillator training and our very own Nicky crafted these 2 hearts. The first one recycles scraps of wool including bits from our poppy making and the second bits of ribbon.
